Question for BB (aka Judith Chalmers!) -
hope i'm never as orange :rotfl:
i was planning on splashing out and getting a nice £60 a night B&B for me n erin when i go to Dorch in the summer.....

However will be flying into Bournemouth from Edinbugh, cheap flights a plenty at the moment....

Depending on my luck with the Travelodge - Would i be better getting Travelodge £9 in Bournemouth for my 5-6 nights... and getting public transport round and about to visit sally and go places... or would i be better to pay more but base in Dorchester....? Where there are no travelodges... but nice B&B's!

I could fit my times into the £9 rooms slot in T/lodge sale so wondered about the distance....

Bearning in mind the only firm thing i know i'll be doing is spending 2-3 days with Sally and Bea (and maybe mini meet!) and the rest will be doing our own thing, and don't mind where we go, swimming beach etc.....

hhmm..........well, it depends what you want from the break - if you want sand, shops etc then Bournemouth is a better base because you have the beach, all the stuff going on in Bournemouth and Poole and you can get the train to Dorchester which is about 30 minutes. I'm not sure there is a bus from Bournemouth/Poole to Dorchester. I can't remember seeing one.

Also if you stay in Bournemouth/Poole you can get the open top bus to Swanage which is a lovely seaside place.

If you want countryside, then choose Dorchester.

I can do a bit more digging around if you want to help you make a decision :D

Yep what BB says. Actually if you can get a room for £9 then even if you travelled here everyday it would probably work out cheaper. The only thing I would be thinking about is whether you want to be out all day/evening and are happy to sit in a hotel room or would prefer to be in a B&B. Or even if we don't meet in the day we could have an evening BBQ or head to the beach for a BBQ etc etc

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
