CP Plus Ltd PCN

Options
Today I've just received a Parking Charge Notice in the post from a company called CP Plus Ltd. It alleges that my vehicle overstayed a 2 hour parking limit at a Moto Services. It's requesting a parking charge of £80. It offers a £30 'discount' if paid by 1st May.

I has the normal blurb about photographic evidence and the threat legal proceedings against me if I fail to pay! Etc Etc.

I have read a number of threads and from the advice given I intend to ignore it.

Just want to make sure I am doing the right thing and see if anyone else has had dealings with this company.

Thanks in advance

Or you can get an £80 discount if you don't pay by the twelfth of never.

CP Plus don't do court, just ignore all their fantasy letters.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

I too got one from CP Plus I think I might just bin it.
  • I have been issued with a charge notice in a private car park (Morrisons) should I pay the fine. I parked in a disabled space as there was no mother and baby spaces available.

There is no fine, only Councils and Police can issue those. Disabled / Parent & Child spaces in private car parks have no legal standing, although common good social behaviour should encourage people to respect them.

Don't pay them a penny, and ignore all their increasingly threatening letters until they give up.

  • Ignoring them is a very stupid thing to do indeed. You WILL be dragged into court, and end up with a CCJ on your record.

Do as any decent citizen would, and honour your debts.
What a load of spherical objects. This is likely a ppc troll. Ignore him as well as the PPC.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • A typical brainwashed forum response.

How many times does it have to be said -dont pay! Yes, D,O,N,T, P-A-Y[/QUOTE

    Could'nt agree more.

    Accusations of stupidity

No one can be dragged to Small Claims Court

The likelihood of CP Plus issuing court documents is very small.

Decency and Private parking Companies - strange bedfellows to say the least.

Plus complete misrepresentation of what a CCJ is and how and when one is created.

It is most definitely not a 'debt'.

So much wrong in just two sentences and a complete absence of the truth
I very strongly suggest that Hyacinth is ignored resolutely.

Lol - Hyacinth clearly doesn't even understand how CCJs work. A CCJ 'on your record' indeed!
