Well that's the rub - if kindness doesn't attract you, then you can't really complain when the guys you choose don't come with it.

Kindness and gentlemanly-ness does attract me, I don't want an out and out bad guy. But 'sweet' and 'nice' doesn't really do it for me.

I wish it did - but that's something you can't really help! :rotfl:

Kindness does but it makes me uncomfortable, I'm used to being treated badly so I expect it.

Then you need to start looking at why you expect it, and why you look for it as a part of a relationship.

Not any more Chev :o things were resolved last night in a very 'final' way. Went to bed in tears, feeling absolutely sickened and appalled, when I finally worked out what's going on (and it's not remotely what I expected, or what everyone else suspects).

But this morning I woke up feeling very shaken but okay. The reason I haven't been able to let go is that none of it made any sense. Now suddenly it all makes perfect sense. And I know now that I can move on, and be glad about my lucky escape.

I'm letting myself dwell on it today and feel a bit sad - but tomorrow is a fresh start, and he wont feature in my life again.

    Onwards and upwards Snaggles
Realisation -especially when coupled with sickened soon turns to relief at a lucky escape-A little sadder and hopefully wiser-we move on. Dunno why life has to be so darn complicated (actually it's more why some other people insist on making life complicated when there's no need)

Now about that DLA form ..............
