Yaaaay, my share money hit my account today. It was £2300 as expected, so £1k has gone to Stu, £1k into my savings and £300 for a new cooker! Is it sad that I'm quite excited? I have never had a new cooker before, always rather 'well loved' second hand ones! :D

The £1k wont be staying in savings sadly, because I've got a massive car repair bill coming up soon, and various other household appliances are on their last legs, but for a little while at least, my accounts look reasonably healthy.

Edit - although my credit card bill hasn't arrived yet :o

That's really nice, but I think it's just an oven? I need the whole thing, with grill and hob and stuff. Oh, and I only have a teeny little 50cm gap! Lucky I'm not really into cooking!

Is it ironic that I'm buying a new cooker on the day I've started doing the Cambridge Diet? :p

Yep, cookers and plates etc are a thing of the past now, for a while at least :D

ah, hob also needed - that's a shame.

Did you check out an equivalent to Dorset Reclaim to get an oven?

I probably shouldnt admit it but I really really want a new cooker. Mine still works though even though I try to not love it ;). It is 11 years old and still going strong. I have to be strong and not order it until either Im debt free or my one does go. Somehow I think itll have to be the first option .

Retail therapy is good in small measures :D
