Hi Joelleski,

Are you going to contact Watchdog or United Hosting?
Cheers

medical
i have reported to both watch dog and united hosting0 -
I also had the same experience with theperfumeemporium.co.uk. My saga started on 3rd April. The pattern is completely the same for each customer including me, Non delivery - Royal Mail blamed - wait 15 days - resend goods - non delivery of goods - refund promised - wait 30 days. It makes you wonder if anybody ever has received any perfume from this company? I contacted Trading Standards, HMRC, Watchdog, UnitedHosting, OFT, canyoutrustthem.com, ciao.com.
Good news - after many many emails to 'Chris' i finally received a refund 5 days after the 30 day limit. So hang in there and dont give up, i think that's what 'Chris' is hoping for because of the relatively small amounts, some people might not think it's worth the hassle.
Good Luck and thanks to the organisations i contacted who took my claim seriously.0 -

Hi KatJ,
So 'Chris' does eventually refund
I think you are correct when you say that 'Chris' hopes that people give up over a relatively small amount of cash.0 -

I see 'someone' has posted a positive review on Ciao praising The Perfume Emporium.

Hmmm ... after all our experiences, and so many bad reviews, I'd definately say that was a fake! Still haven't had my refund yet (the 30 days are up soon) ...0

Hello
From what my team have been able to investigate (as the web host of this site) we have been able to determine that they are NOT just another scam website. Chris processes over 30 perfume orders a day, and most orders are apparently forfilled with a happy outcome for the consumer.
HOWEVER they obviously do have some sort of problem with either lost post, a bad order management system or just inefficient/unhelpful staff. None of these are acceptable reasons for anyone to lose out when shopping on the website.
We have provided hosting services to this site for 2 years, and over that period there have only been a total of 6 abuse reports made to us (out thousands of orders) all of which have occured in the last few weeks only.
Each of these reported cases has had a fresh response from us today asking for more specific order details. We will provide that specific information back to perfume emporium for them to resolve each case to our satisfaction (refunds) where the order has passed the 30 days distance selling regulation. Should they fail to act on each valid case then we would be in a position to take further action as the site would breach our hosting Terms of Service.
I hope this update helps, and goes a little way to re-assure some of you that there should be light at the end of the tunnel. The Head Honcho (does very little work)0 -

A different address is listed for the company on www.who.is, the other one being in Mansfield. I live near the above address, it isn't a nice area (and the Mansfield one is worse). If anyone wants to visit the owner personally, I wouldn't go after dark!Gone ... or have I?0
