As for the question "Is the GIOL forum worth the risk?" then I would say that the majority view is probably expressed in the fact that there are 700 pages of threads, the majority of which relate to matched betting.
After posting about receiving an email to my MSE username/email from 'Money Expert' (note the use of ' '), I am now unable to post on MSE. Such is life.

Why not set up a forum yourself where you define the rules? Or just go to where you can discuss casinos? That would be a darn side more constructive than a totally lobsided and meaningless poll.

If we are talking about the benefit of matched betting then surely we should be talking about overall net profit and overall net loss. Yes I have made a few mistakes and made losses and been gutted about that but overall I am tens of thousands up as a result of matched betting. This forum introduced me to the concept and so I have got a lot to thank it for.

None of the answers fit. I've lost up to £250 on a singly mistake but the winnings at the same time (bluesq & cheltenham ;)) more than made up for it. So "Yes, £100 to £1000 but so what because I make pots of money"
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

I think my total loss so far is £2.00. I've made about £1,500.00 so far so I am not complaining.

If I've messed up it's been small enough for me to have forgotten it.

I've never had a bookie do anything that caused me to lose money, like a palp or whatever.
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it

you cant compare MB with casinos, nothing in life is completely 100% risk free. Banks can go bust, robbers can steal and the odd offer can go wrong. Done correctly MB is not particularly risky. Casinos on the other hand involve a good understanding of probability and margins as well as the games involved and except for some very simple promotions carry the risk off significant loss, especially to those who do not understand the concept of limited risk. There are other forums on other sites where casinos can be discussed so its not really a problem IMO.

How can a sign up bonus at a bookmaker with a wagering requiremnet be risk free.

Its not possible when signing up to know for certain that the odds the site offers will be good enoughth to fulfill the wagering requirement without taking an overall loss.

    Absolute rubbish.
