    Q. also posed in another thread, but do the tech gurus happen to know whether, if the instructions say that it will take SD cards up to 512Mb, this means that it will not take a 1Gb card ? I am wondering whether the ref to 512Mb is not simply a ref to the largest card commercially available when the camera was first made and the instructions written ?

Just placed an order for one plus a cheap t shirt for £5-99, total £25-98 then used the '£10 off orders over £20' code. total to be invoiced £15-98 ! If I dont like it I can always return it. ( By the way I never had to register any card details)

I ordeded via phone today, cost £29.98 for two cameras. The discount was £10 off and a free portable Television and sound system set.

Thanks for the link. I will let everyone know what the camera is like when it arrives.

    Ali,
which codes did you use to get 10 off plus the television set (and is this exactly; is it a small table on wheels?)?

Also did anyone try to go over 40 and get 20 off (with the code PB2506 £20 off £40 + free bag set; which was on this site; in the codes section)?

    Ok, thanks.
I have ordered two of the cameras on their web site.
Must admit that it is very confusing. Their payment process is done very badly there.
And they do not send any confirmation at the end, so all I have is a screenshot of the final bill (before final confirmation)!

    Hope this is enough.

    Hi there...

Can you help me please? How you go about getting free portable Television and sound system set? It is my first order with them.... I am using the ORDER CODE PX2961 and I am in the confirmation page... I can see they are taking 10 pounds off my total order (originally was 26, so with the discount is 16) but it is not mentioning anything about the TV set. I am concerned that if I click on confirmation I will not get the gift as it is not showing anywhere....

Any help is very much appreciated..

    Thanks a lot

Just to say I bought this camera the last time Empire were selling them cheap (£29.99) back in November. I am STILL having hassle from Empire. Their CS stinks! The camera is not very good either.

Placed order in November and took screenshot of conf. Rang up beg of Dec as had not received it and was told I had no order. When I said I had screenshot they offered to re-order, so I agreed. Was told it would be here by Xmas. So waited. Still did not arrive. Rang up and they claimed they had delivered it - I said no. They re-ordered another one which was due in January. Still no arrival so rang again. Told me that I had never ordered - here we go again! Re-ordered me another one and gave me a delivery date - still did not arrive. Claimed again to have delivered - noooo! Third one ordered and hey presto I received it!! Now end of Jan 06. Great i thought! Nooo! Letter in Feb to say I had not paid for it! Oh yes I have! Rang Cs and they said ignore it we know u have paid. Then March? The red reminder hat I have not paid! Rang again - ah they claim to have refunded my money in Feb and I still owe them! No record of refund in bank account so now account is frozen while the investigate.

It is just a note of caution - their customer service is rotten!

Seems an odd system, but on first order it seems only to allow items to be charged to a newly created account. I got a conf email about an hour after ordering, which did state the correct items and the price after discount. Presumably once delivered once pays off the account balance with a CC?
