Morning guys - half way through the week, and it is payday tomorrow......:j

I will be doing more work on my SOA today to see how I can refine and rejig.......and also want to do an online grocery shop so that I get back into the habit of doing that once a week or so.

It is budget day today, although I am sure there will be nothing in it to make any positive difference to me......ah well, it'll give the papers something to talk about tomorrow I suppose.

    So....list for today:
    • keep working on SOA
    • do meal plan for the next week
    • online grocery shop
    • pay in a cheque
    • check online banking
Not too much, but they are the important ones for today......

Hope you all have a good one!

teeth may take a while to grow, but then they are designed to last for several years, so I suppose they are justified in taking their time!

Morning - no swimming for me this morning as DD needs dropping at school with big art canvas!!! Have been really good and gone the last few days before work.

Need to get to grips with a good budget plan as just found out how much DD accomadation will be at Uni next year!! She (like DS) will only get the basic Student loan and we have to top it up but as her room alone is £1500 more than her loan without food etc ....................... mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Anyway that a problem for another day !!

Sun is out here so looks like another lovely day.

Hope you have a good one

Good morning Hypno and welcome back to reality. Good time to start a new phase of your diary - to coincide with new phase of debtbashing. Pleased to hear you are planning to go back to an online supermarket shop now and then - saves so much time and energy that you could devote to other things, and you can still patronise the local shops and markets in between. We make our first IVA payment in May so it will be five years of careful eye on the budget but should be doable. Our eglu was delivered last week, and we now have two delightful feathered ladies in residence, Pauline and Barietta Cluckle, who are a little young to be laying eggs yet but we should start seeing some next month. Apparently once they start they lay for England so that's a few quid on eggs saved. Am writing this on a new computer which is so much faster than the old one, sadly I will have to give the little man who shovels the coal on the fire his P45.... have a good day one and all and keep running Hypno, 4 days and counting....

Must be new PC week -I too gave up on the steam driven one.......but I thought £80 for a new tower was justifiable-especially as old one constantly shuts down in windows (fortunately my work is in linux which is very forgiving) however looking at taking on more work which is a windows platform so at least it will soon pay for itself.

I think you've got to the point where you could lose the termtime student and just keep the summer school ones -bit of a compromise but keeps the options open and sanity is a consideration once a certain proportion of debt is cleared. You're not stopping the debt busting just slowing it slightly-far better to that than to burn out. Considering your debt busting speed has been faster than most anyway-all you're doing is reducing from super human to human levels.

Morning Hypno - the online shopping is something I only started doing fairly recently, but it has definitely made a difference to my ability to stick to my shopping budget. Free delivery/money off codes seem to be in short supply at the moment though, but it still seems to save me money.

I usually read a couple of diaries on DFW first, so that I'm feeling all frugal and inspired before I start adding things to my shopping basket. :D

It's so much less stressful than trying to keep 2 kids calm whilst packing bags at the checkout too, but I guess yours are quite a bit older.

Oooooh, it's nice to be back in diary-land and catch up on how everyone is doing! :T
