Mass 'Overpay your mortgage day' - * NOW * 4th July

My regular standing order overpayment of £500 goes out of the bill account on the 5th of the month, so I've decided that in order to make a payment that hits the account on the 4th of July, I am going to pay cash in at a branch of the Nationwide on Saturday morning.
I don't want 2 large amounts to hit my mortgage account on possibly the same day because the Nationwide might decide to charge me a penalty fee.
I've been regularly paying more than £500 per month since last September with no problems/fees so far.
My plan is to pay £4.07 (04/07) per post on this thread up until 07:00 on Saturday 4th July.0 -

I'd like to join in too! My mortgage is at a pretty low rate at the moment so I'm not planning to overpay much, as I can get more interest in a savings account. I'll pay off £26.01 though, as it will make my total owing a round number!Live on £11k in 20110

This is great, I think we should all raise a glass at the end of it, when we've been to the bank - mine's a water - I can't handle my drink

Haven't posted for ages but happened to see this thread and want to say I'll be joining you. Sort of coincidence, I've been saving to overpay once I knew the cost of my MOT and thats done now so I'll join you all on the 4th!
I love the thought of loads of people overpaying all on the same day. Maybe we'll get on the news!:p0
