DD1 will look after DS1 and DS2, DD2 is staying at a friends, cant leave her at home as DD1 and her fight like cat and dog,you would think at 19 and 16 they would be better by now:mad:
Just need to sort out dates as DD2 has exams during May and would like to be at home on the days she has these,so will need to arrange perhaps Fri,Sat ,Sun and Mon,also OH needs to sort out days off at work,it cant coincide with any tour dates either.
At least it is something to plan for and they will be back up towards the end of July to see DD1s baby (due on 19th July)

showing me a proposal he's been given for getting consultants in to 'identify and help fix' the issues in my area... and 'enable and effective service and processes to a level capable of outsourcing should we desire to...
... so I have less than 24 hours to save my team
..soappie... don't suppose you want to come and work in Windsor organising me do you
Greenbee - outsourcing is never the most economic solution. You need to convince them of that. A place I worked at outsourced all IT stuff. Seemed good on paper. BUT everytime someone (in the thousands) still in the organisation forgot their password and phoned up to have it reset - Kerching - that'll be £50.00 please (probably more now). .... plus everytime a new PC or something needed to be installed - that's another £25000.00 (yes twenty five thousand) please. Regardless of the fact a simple PC, locked down by a firewall shouldn't cost you more than £750.00. You need to convince them it's a false economy
And the ROI calculation appears to be:
(gain from investment - cost of investment)

And I'm more than happy to provide my company's services organising you - and even joining your team on a freelance basis - though Windsor is a tad far (M3 and all that) but I'm happy to work remotely with just a couple of trips up the motorway a week.
Frodders - love - thanks - part of my plan B may involve some input from you
I'm off to bed to work on plan B. That may send me to sleep far quicker than the alphabet list did last night!

Hi all you lovely ladies
Just a quick post to say we're back from The Lakes, had a lovely week with overnight rain just one night. Got back late yesterday and was straight back at work today so place is a tip and I'm already playing catch up (both with fred and flying).
One of my little darlings was happy enough to write I love you mum in the dust on the fireplace but I would have appreciated it more if they'd cleaned it for me!
Hope everyone is ok altho a quick flick through the last pages has told me that there are a few who need some hugs, so big cyberhugs from me :grouphug:.
Will be back late 2moro as well as going straight from work to the hairdresser and OH says I can cook tea for us then !!!!!!!!!!!
Might fly on Wednesday
TTFNMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

I get your point about the M3... I'm not looking forward to going back to Staines for exactly the same reason (I prefer the M4). If I get the money I want I'll give you a call
but I suspect that your plan B will be much more interesting (and I'm not sure I could afford you
)
As far as I can work out, outsourcing wins 'least effective IT strategy' EVERY year, and yet we keep on going . We've outsourced most of our IT (all the big bits anyway), so they seem to be looking at what's left over and wondering what to do with it. I have to say, we don't pay £25k for a PC to be installed though, so maybe we did get something right!
Thanks for the calculation... I've dropped a note to the FD saying that I need him to agree which figures to use and do the maths, as if I do it myself no one will believe the numbers (well he asked for confirmation in a recent meeting that I hadn't done the maths myself, as if I had he'd need someone to check it :rotfl:)
I've sorted out my notes, so think I need to have an early night so that I can go for a swim tomorrow and then come back and put together something more coherent...0 -
Big hugs Mudbath, such a worrying time for you. Is your Dad in hospital again or have they let him come home? Take care with your twinges too, don’t over do things. You need to take care of yourself so you can help your dad.
Hugs Michelle over work. My boss isn’t overly helpful at work either, I have loads of questions but never see her to ask them, so I can sympathise with you. It doesn’t exactly help you to settle in does it .
WTG, Gingernut, well done! :T
Big hugs Greenbee, I hope you save your team
WELL DONE Julie on getting your star! :T
I was strangely disappointed not to see tomorrow’s list up. I want to know what I will be doing tomorrow. This is an unusual sensation for me to feel!
Jayjay, glad DH enjoyed his first day at new job. The reason he’s lost weight – it’s all water, you’ve been good and rehydrated!
WTG Emily, you are doing so well with your lists. How are you and how is DH? Is all the work done on the house now?
I’ve done some more washing up this evening. I’m so pleased that I’ve achieved so much. Monday’s are definatley my best fly-day! I’m really tired now tho, so night night. DH has the day off tmrw so not sure how much I will get done. Depends what we do, might go out somewhere or stay in, not sure yet.
:happyloveto all you lovely flypeople. Hmm, flypeople, that sounds like something in a horror movie. The Curse of the Flypeople, and you could have horrible mutant half fly/half people flying around with big bug eyes. Yuck!
