All i can say after today is AAAAAAHHHH. Very stressed, I would love to say my department were being helpful but computer says NO. One person promised to email me and hasn't as yet, and the whole department disappeared by 3:20, so no time to ask anyone anything. I worked till 4:45 then had to get the boys. Guess i just do my best then, and when i stuff up and someone has a go at me, i can say why. Great.

I'm going to email my head of department every time i think of a question now, and she might get fed up enough of me to actually spare me some real time.

Anyway, not had time to tackle much off the actual flylist, but hey ho - i know about it and hope to get some done tomorrow on my day off as i need to work some more tonight.

Greenbee - how did they demonstrate the not knowing?

By dragging me into a meeting to tell me that I need to do something that already has a signed-off process, and the reason for it is a direct quote from what I wrote in my report to the CFO :mad:

It was compounded this afternoon by the FD taking me to one side and saying 'I assume you've seen this' (purely a formality you understand... when people say this you KNOW they mean that you should have done by probably haven't...) and showing me a proposal he's been given for getting consultants in to 'identify and help fix' the issues in my area... and 'enable and effective service and processes to a level capable of outsourcing should we desire to...

luckily most of the leadership team are against the idea (for political reasons really, they've never been advocates for me in the past, although maybe they appreciate me more than I think )...

... I have a meeting with my director tomorrow who isn't keen on the idea, but I need to present him with my 'what I would do if I had the money/resource' by 4pm tomorrow... so I have less than 24 hours to save my team

So no flying will be done here tonight... just plenty of wine to fuel the creativity :p

Lots of 'make your mind up about the future vibes' for soappie... don't suppose you want to come and work in Windsor organising me do you ;)

[strike]Washing - hang out on line to dry as weather is lovely
Set dinner off to start in slow cooker before work
    Take out bins
    Clean out cat litter[/strike]
    Start sorting out Washing Mountain

I don't know if I will manage to hoover as well as declutter, but I will try.

    Hope you all are well!
Hmm...so far I haven't managed to hoover or declutter :rotfl: This is mainly because the living room is minging and I can't face it today I don't think.

To make up for my laziness I have:

    • Taken bins out from kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room
    • Sorted cat poo
    • Hung up washing that didn't go on the line
    • Cleaned kitchen
    • Made yummy slow cooker dinner
    • Picked off usable meat for yummy slow cooker leftovers tomorrow :D
    • Cleaned toilet, sink and windowsill
    • Cleaned bathroom mirrors
I'm off to go and declutter some of the gubbins on the living room table and maybe do some dusting.

I might just watch the episode of The Wire that's loaded in the DVD player though...:D
