Greenbee - Use TUPE as part of your argument. If they outsource the staff will transfer anyway, on same terms but with an additional layer of over head going to the consultancys proft. E-mail me if you need some words - this is my specialist area, I am about until about 10am tomorrow. ETA Sorry if this is me teaching my granny to suck eggs - trying to help!

Soappie - best of luck whatever you decide to do.

Ironing in between reading, honest. This weeks work stuff done just trying to get a bit more out of the way.

Just popping in to see if tomorrow's list is up yet.

Tootles, you seem to have missed my last star last week (my special star for completing all of the lists). Glad your treatment went well. Nearly half-way there now, and hoping that the rest go as well. Has smelly guy finished his yet?

Had a yummy dinner of stir-fry, but my lack of sleep from last night's insomnia has caught up with me, and I plan to watch (if I can stay awake) Hell's Kitchen in bed. Have work tomorrow afternoon (12.30-3) and dinner at MIL's afterwards as it's Tuesday. Will try to get all the flying done in the morning before I go out to work.

    Hope everyone is well.

I'm off to get into my PJs now, so see you all tomorrow.

    Night night everyone,

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Thanks Hex - I should actually have filed somewhere the 'why my team shouldn't be outsourced' from last time round. It's to do with the risk involved in outsourcing a compliance function - and anyway, based on the third party's figures, they can't actually do it as cheaply as I do! (And don't appear to understand what it involves anyway...) I must update my CV too!

Greenbee - 12 years working in outsourced contracting says that is often the case. There is a lot of 'lets suck it and see', and 'which idiot costed this bid' that goes on. Tomorrow I am doing TUPE consultations for a contract one of my clients has just won - third contractor in three years! You have to feel sorry for the employees. Good luck.

I have done as much ironing as I can be bothered with tonight and the kitchen is looking a lot better. Time to slope off to read in the bath.

    Evening ladies,

Mudbath - your dad sounds like he's having a rough time, healing retina reattachment vibes coming his way.

Soappie - thats rubbish news on the funding, hope you find something else soon.

Pigpen - have a hug, just want to echo what everyone else has said. I can only imagine how angry you are! Is the living room spotless now?

Been out shopping with hubby and LO today, got her new shoes and some clothes. Also bought a blackout blind for her room though its not up yet, hope it works.

Have made a start on the list, will do some more tomorrow, i'm pooped:o

Thanks... if they decide they don't want us I'll just put the team on the market to the highest bidder :D as we actually have a very good reputation in the market we're in... there's a telco up the road that I'm pretty sure would love to get their hands on my team (and I think they might pay more!)

I've just done my point by point response to the stupid proposal for the FD... trying to be rational and objective (they claim there will be loads of benefits, but I see no numbers...), so now need to do my 'what I want to do and why' plus calculate the ROI for my team... I've got over £26M in projected savings for under £250k a year... does that sound like good value to you?!

Well I have hovered and dusted and decluttered the floor, can't get near the sofa as the dog has pinched it and is in no mood to move. Will try to give it a once over first thing tomorrow.

Positive vibes for your Dad Mudbath.

OH has really enjoyed his first day at the new job - strange getting him home so early, managed to do the flying jobs before we went to the gym. Though I would like to know why he can lose half a stone in the 2 weeks since we joined and I weigh exactly the same:rotfl:I suppose if I keep it up it will shift eventually.

Lots of bedding dried today in the sunshine, have two loads of towels to go out in the morning.
Off now to make a sopping list for after work tomorrow - see how short I can keep it!
