    Morning

Drank red wine last night and i've noticed that it really disrupts my sleep. Been awake for two hours already!

Got home from nice dinner last night and OH and I just chatted for a bit about money stuff. I think he's finally grasped the need for us to do the money stuff for us to get anywhere! There had been threats of wage cuts at his work and it seems that this is likely although we won't know how much or when for a while.

We will have to review our budgets. OH hadn't really been on board with budgeting and it has been hard but slowly he has shown small bits of interest. I think that because I have been managing my household finances since we met, and he really hasn't had to learn as he lived at home, he's left it to me because I have been managing it. I've slowly had to move him away from living the single budget. To be fair to him, he often paid for the fun stuff while I working to get debt free.

I feel like we are finally about to turn a corner re joint finances. We will have to review whether we can afford to do the kitchen and bathroom; maybe we'll have to do more ourselves. I know fIL will help as a thank you for OH helping out financially.

Ho hum - will have to review the spreadsheets again so that we can see where we can better improve our money. I can see a lot more grocer and strecupboard challenges; nSDs and ebaying ahead of me!

Still can't sleep! Might have to get up and tackle that ironing pile. Although I will rest until 6am!

It sounds like you will be turning a corner in more ways than one - perfect timing for you and OH to have had that chat.

2010 is one to say goodbye to, yes, and I will be raising my glass to that one too - I know that 2011 will be better for me - I am determined for it to be, and I know that it will be better for you and for Taxi too.

Birthdays sort of sorted - Christmas is still a bit of work in progress. May do some more tomorrow.

Had this nasty cough for the last few days so keeping rested - or at least trying to!

Not much else to report. Am looking forward to the Christmas break - need to chill out and rest.

Get well soon - there are so many lingering lurgies at the mo! Hopefully you will be rid of this one in good time for Christmas, and definitely in good time for bringing in the nice shiny happy new year!

So still have a cough and cold but not doing too bad.

We had our first serious snow today. DH and I decided to leave the car at home and got one tube stop along to a local family run curtain shop to buy nets for the new windows. it was snowing but thought the trip out would be ok. We were only in shop about 20 mins and then headed to tube to return home only to find the line suspended! So we walked home in the snow. We
had great fun - even a snowball fight with some local kids!

We went to out for the evening - the local roads were a bit scary but we managed to get there and back in one piece. Am now warm and cosy in bed and ready to sleep. Will have a long list to get through tomorrow as I haven't done anything today!

    Waving to you all!
