Just a quick pop on to say goodluck and I really am glad your new lodger is nice - just think of all the extra money you will have to throw at debt :)

Fingers crossed you get the interview for the job you really want - if I walk I tend to take lots of breaks by sitting down or looking at a view or something - might break up the routine a bit

Love your list updates they are great. xxxxx

Thanks Fay - Still haven't heard about the job. I reckon tomorrow is the last day I would expect to hear. It is getting painful!

The lodger does bring the debt free date forward loads which is wonderful!

    Hi urg
I would just like to say well done on the debt busting. I am impressed that you write down lists and actually cross things off them as well!!!

I am great for making lists and then not actually doing any of it oops.

As for the weight I think if you are concentrating on one area of your life really hard - like debt busting, then trying to sort another area out can be hard. The main thing is to not sabotage your good intentions by buying things when food shopping that are unhealthy..

I am a chocolate addict, the only way to not be a complete bloater is I don't have it in the house (well except one time in a month lol). Otherwise if there is a bar (big bar too) in the house, then i will eat it in a day....

    Oh and one other thing

    GET YOUR TAX RETURN DONE!!!!!
    chev

    Hi Chevalier,

I have also learned that not having chocolate in the house is a good idea, crisps too, oh and ice cream.... It makes snack planning a bit hard.

Keep nagging about the tax return - I have started it but I am sooo not a completer/finisher.

Other good news - I signed up for a Casino website. YOu had to wager £25 in order to get £30 cashback on Quidco. Well, I not only did wager the £25 but won £26 so have won more than my money back and as long as Quidco tracks, I'll also get £30. That's £31 profit!

    Just a small update...

Went to WW today and have lost another 1.5lbs :D. That's over half a stone since I started a month ago. Am really pleased with myself.

I also received a letter from the Student Loans Company - my loans will be paid off at about the same time as the rest of the debt (i.e. Feb 2010).

Feeling a bit lost and out of control with the money things as I have not been keeping a spending diary. I'll dig it out in a minute and update today's spending and put it in my bag for tomorrow.

    Hey Urg!

Sorry not been on for a while, been dreading coming back from hols so just been lurking and mooching! Your debt total is AMAZING! We are no longer twins, humph!

Good luck with the lists, I'm another one who writes them then doesn't actually update them!

    Hi Swinstie and Taxi

Swinstie - You'll soon catch up soon twinnie - I know you can't stand to be beaten ;)!

Re being debt free in 2010 - I really want to start our marriage on a clean slate. There might be some extra spending on the wedding as my parents are giving me a set amount and we will pay for anything over but I think that I should be able to keep things under control!

Haven't heard anything about the job....Am starting to lose hope that I have an interview:(.

    3. Deal with filing pile that is in the drawer.
    4. Aim for 2 NSDs
    5. Walk for 30 mins per day (I am still struggling with the exercise)
    6. [STRIKE]Prepare for interview on Friday.[/STRIKE]
    7. 15 mins per day on bedroom.

    That's enough for now.

I haven't updated my diary very much recently and really am not in control of anything at the moment!

I keep having setbacks which don't help. I have picked up a nasty cold and it has really made me realise that I am not looking after myself and that I am run down.

This week is going to be about looking after me and getting back to basics!
    1. Walk for 30 mins four times this week
    2. Aim for 2 NSDs
    3. Shortlist 5 wedding suppliers for next item on list
    4. Book wedding show tix if there is no handling charge
    5. Contact wedding venue with a couple of questions
    6. Eat 5 pieces of fruit and veg per day
    7. Go to sleep by 11pm - no excuses
    8. Eat wholesome meals prepared at home
    9. Treat myself to a home facial and do my nails
    10. Keep a spending diary for the week
I am going to take my ironing and put it away, decide what I am wearing tomorrow and head off to bed.

Hope you are all well in diaryland
