That debt total is fantastic.Great news on the weight loss and walking more. You seem to be getting well into a routine now and looking after yourself is so important.0

Ok Urg, we need to have a chat, how did you get your debt total to look so, well low?! Wasn't it just under £7K last month? I paid a whack to mines this month but because of some holiday spends it only reduced the total by £500! Boo! Great job though, you could be debt free very very soon. x0

Hi Swinstie
I am working really hard at it as I am so close to the finish line!
I have really been going at it. I am usually able to put about £900 of my salary towards debt repayments (after the usuall DDs etc). I also managed to re-let my spare room which brings in an extra £400 pm.
Just think what I'll be able to do with all that money when I am debt free!!!!
Saying that - I have been on a bit of spree today! It's Dad's 60th and I have been out getting treats for him.
I see that you have reviewed your debt free date. You're not that far behind me - keep up the excellent work!

I lost you - now I have found you again phew!
Well done on the new job and the debt busting
Small steps indeed seem to be paying off for you
And that's an amazing amount of prioritising and hard work you are doing to make it all happen - go you
Remember to look after yourself!

Well.. I only copy from the best!!!! Glad to see you back - it can quite lonely in diary land!!Hope your Dad has a fab 60th birthday.
Thanks Taxi - we had a lovely evening. It was just dad, mum, OH and I. We took them out to dinner which was lovely.
I'm up super early - I got woken up and coudn't get back to sleep:rolleyes:. Am going to use the time productively and work on the dreaded tax return. I only have a few more days before the end of September and i really want to get this off the list.
Have already done my scratchcards for the day - 35p in total. I am going sign up for OH so I can earn a bit more. It all helps.
Other money news:
I have, for the first time in ages, updated the spending diary!
£20 due on the next quidco payout
£25 for a focus group coming up
It all helps.

I haven't updated on these and thought I would have a go to see how far I have gone and what I still have to do!
September goals :- Complete Tax Return (who isn't bored of this one!) Nearly finished! I have a few questions to ask before I submit. Will call HMRC this week so that I can submit it by the end of the week.
- Earn £250 extra to go towards my debt Nowhere near enough but it has all helped.
- Bake a cake I have avoided this since starting WW!
- 30 mins excercise or walking per day The month started badly but this week I really seem to have turned a corner. I am back at my weekly yoga class and I have forced myself to walk to/from the station on my work journeys. It's easier when the weather is good and I am on time but I hope to carry this on!
- Keep a spending diary
Needs further work!
- Make and keep a meal plan for September I have a new flatmate and we have been making meals together so we tend to plan for the week ahead.
- Wedding job 1 Still ongoing
- Wedding job 2 Still ongoing
- Wedding job 3 Still ongoing
- [STRIKE]Get a new job!!!!! [/STRIKE]Achieved! Ok it's only maternity cover but I have had a bit of a black hole in relation to this one!
- Lose 5lbs 3.5lbs lost - next weigh in is on Tuesday
- [STRIKE]Buy a chest of drawers to stuff around to help OH to move in.[/STRIKE]
- Read and recycle 10 work magazines
- [STRIKE]Catch up with the filing[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Have a pamper night one night a week[/STRIKE] I have done this most weeks.

I am thinking about setting some new goals and may set some 'third quarter' goals to get me to New Year when I will have a big re-think.
Going to see a wedding photographer this morning and will then visit mum later. She's not feeling brilliant so I'll take her out to keep her mind off things and to get her to help with the wedding ideas! I know, I know! I am selfish!

Hope your dad enjoys being spoilt - he's lucky to have such a lovely daughter
Phew your list seems to be getting there doesnt it - I am lacking motivation at the moment - but am going to imbide a bit of your enthusiasm!
Glad the flat mate is nice and you are meal planning together - my new one is nice too and I have taught her to shop for reduced things
Have a great weekend! - I have re-subscribed so I shouldn't lose you againcan't have diary land being lonely - that would be dreadful
(sorry!)
Wedding plans ticking over too - all great stuffgood that you are involving your mum
sure she apprecaites it
PS your credit card debt is almost halved OMG! Well done you.........Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
