I now need to think about what I need to achieve this week:- Carry on working on tax return for last year
- Walk for 30 mins per day
- [STRIKE]Join Weightwatchers - THIS IS IT!!![/STRIKE]
- Keep an eye on my bank accounts
- Find somewhere to put my juicer so that new tenant has 2 full cupboards in the kitchen
- Continue to declutter the bedroom
- Read up on the jobs I have been interested in and apply
- Limit myself to 1 hour of surfing per day
- Stick to meal plan for the week
- Wedding task
Have a good week everyone.

So today I joined Weight Watchers. I really need the help and motivation to be able to lose weight. It is one of my top 10 goals and I really want to achieve it. I was really disappointed with how high my weight is but as the leader said - it can only go down. OH is behind me which is going to be really helpful.
On a DFW point - I managed to get free registration and half-price entry for the first week. I also managed to find out that if I join the monthly plan from next month (rather than this month) I will get some of the books for free as an incentive!
I am really tired and struggling to tick anything off of any of my lists - I will go and spend a few minutes decluttering the bedroom before I go to bed.
Bye for now

Hello
First day of WW was okay - drank far too much coffee and have to guesstimate what dinner is but I think I have got it.
The saga I have with my Council Tax SPD claim continues. I have had part of my complaint responded to but only the part that deals with the crap call centre not the actual council tax claim.
It seems that even though I had asked the call centre to confirm whether my second letter had been received they would not have done until my case was being reviewed. THIS MEANS THAT THE COUNCIL STILL HAS NOT LOOKED AT MY CASE WHICH WAS SENT ON 16 JUNE!!!!!!:mad::mad: I AM NOT IMPRESSED.
I'll stop shouting now! Have been doing some sums for September. I haven't even got to the middle of August. I remember someone talking about being desparate for the next pay day just so they can pay off more of the debt - that is soooo me:o. If all goes well and the lodger pays up, my debt will go down to the £7Ks -woo hoo. The new lodger will bring my debt free date forward to March 2010. :T
On a more postive note - tonight is the first evening I have got back from home and not felt absolutely zonked. Off to do some ironing while watching property !!!!!!!

Grrrr @ Council tax people
But good to hear you sounding so positive about everything else!! Good luck with the weightwatchers, buying a monthly pass is also an incentive to keep going as you've already paid for it!0 -
Hi Mogchops and everyone else!
Well, I guess I spoke too soon! The council has finally reviewed my case and agreed that I am entitled to SPD by sending me a new Council Tax statement! Funny how it happened after I sent my letter of complaint . I'll have to tell them about my new lodger once she moves in. I bet it will only take them 1 or 2 days to charge me at the higher rate. I still expect them to respond to my complaint!
I'm having a bit of down day today - I received feedback from my interview which was positive and provided me with useful things to think aobut and work on. I am getting so frustrated with my situation - I am ready to move on but the other employers are looking for someone with greater breadth. It's even harder when everyone around you seems to be moving on!
WW is going okay - I did have a couple of fairy cakes at work but I have accounted for them.
The deposit has arrived so it is all official. I will be moving it to a savings account so that it is there for when the tenant wants to leave. It's not my money (but I do earn interest on it!;)).
I am really tired now - I'll update my spending and WW logs and then just surf!

I'm really not achieving as much as I need to - I really am losing the way with the DFW goals. I really do need to go back to basics.
Am having a bad day with WW. Need to check that and update.
Better set some goals for the upcoming week!- Clear communal areas in preparation for tenant arriving
- Exercise 30 mins x 4
- Complete tax return
- 10 items on ebay
- 3 NSDs
- 3 Doo Yoo reviews
- Keep updating spending diary
- Stick to meal plan and WW
- Apply for 3 jobs
- Work on wedding job
EDIT - I really must complete an assignment that is due at the end of the month. It'll be a busy week!0 -
Just read through your diary and your doing fantastic.I'm sure that you will find that perfect job when the time is right.Great news on the wedding as well.0

Thanks for popping in Taxi.
There are days like today when I don't feel I've done well but then I think - this time last year (almost exactly) I was over £18k in debt and now it is just under £9k. That's more that 50%. I think we all feel that we want it gone sooner!
I better head to bed - I am quite tired now.
