urg's 123 Back to Basics Debt Free Plan
Comments

Hi Swinstie
Not heard a dicky bird - they said that they'd be in contact in a week but I am certain I haven't got it.
I have applied for one post at work which is a Maternity Cover post but I've also seen 3 possibles at other orgs that are easier travelling and that I can do.
I have quite a lot to be getting on with.
Been off work with a virus for the last two days. I am trying to get motivated about going back to work but am really exhausted.
How are you? And the holiday plans?

Just a quick update - I have unofficially found out that I didn't get the job. My manager told me her friend has got it and is waiting to sign the contract. It's nice to be told! I did wonder if they have left telling me until they get the signed contract - maybe I was second in line for the job. When will I be first in line!!!!!
I did go to work today but had to leave early as I am still unwell - I can't believe what a little virus can do to you! I have had some dinner and am exhausted. I was supposed to upload 10 items on ebay but I am not sure I can manage it.
urg x x0 -
Well I have managed to list 5 items. It took me ages given I feel so rough.
I have sold my very old phone to a mobile phone recycling company for £4 and will get £3 via quidco so am pleased with myself for this. It all helps.
I think I am off to bed - this being ill lark is really exhausting!
Will need to get back on track when I am feeling better - I really feel like I am falling behind with the DFW goals.

Today is the first day this week that I feel human again- that virus really had wiped me out. I still need to take it easy. Because of this I really haven't achieved anything goal related so need to get back on track.
I have made one decision though - I really need to lose weight. I had hoped that I would achieve it on my own but now I know that I don't have the willpower or skill to do it. So I have decided to rejoin WeightWatchers.I really need to re-educate myself and I think the weekly classes will help. I also want to look nice for my wedding next year and that will give me an incentive.
Looking at my debt amount and money set aside for next month's payments, I really would like to be clearing £1000 per month whereas at the moment I am clearing between £925 and £970. I have looked at my SOA and there isn't much I can shave off so I will have to look at other ways. I am getting more and more ruthless as I go through my things and am chucking lots and assigning some for ebay sales. I just need to be more ruthless.
On the plus side this week, I have been able to withdraw £11 from scratchcards and have ordered a £10 voucher from a survey site. I have £10 from Quidco and about £55 in my Paypal account. All the cash has been assigned for pressies for OH's 30th and SIL's birthday.
Enough of my ramblings - better get on and do a final tidy of the flat before the viewing this morning.
May be back later with a plan.

Glad you are feeling a bit better - be careful not to do too much too soon though, or you will suffer a setback.
Good luck with the viewing!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Thanks Hypno
Update on the viewing - it has gone really well. The girl says she wants to take it!!! She'll put the deposit in my account next week!!!! If she's as good as her word, then I'll be over £400 better off.
Right - got to go and get on with the day.

Glad you are getting over the virus and great news about the room!!!!
Good luck with weight watchers, I have been back & forth to them over the years, and would definitely say they are the best, well they're the only one that works for me anyway!! I find it very easy to follow with pleasing results. Go for it!0 -
Thanks Mogchops - after the meal we had tonight, I know I need to got back. Am going to look into the local meetings and decide which one I am going for.
We are still lagging behind with the wedding planning. OH and I from different cultures so he can't really contribute to 'my' day of the weddidng as he doesn't know all of the ceremonies etc. We are going to Mum and Dad's tomorrow so hopefully we'll be able able to pad it out far more and then decide what we need to do.
I feel really silly - I missed Brother and Sister day last week because I was so unwell and forgot to take my gift to my brother today. I'll leave it at my parents tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be fairly busy. I need to catch up on a few chores and the wilderness that I call a garden needs a mow! I also need to set some goals for the upcoming week to keep me on track.
Am a bit tired so will surf for a few more minutes and then go to bed.

Today has been a good day.
I have achieved NSD 5 for August! :j
I am £20 up due to gifts from my gran and cousin - these are going towards an Easiyo Yoghurt Maker.:j
I have received confirmation that the girl who came to see the spare room wants to move in and will be sending her deposit tomorrow. :j
I now need to think about what I need to achieve this week:- Carry on working on tax return for last year
- Walk for 30 mins per day
- Join Weightwatchers - THIS IS IT!!!
- Keep an eye on my bank accounts
- Find somewhere to put my juicer so that new tenant has 2 full cupboards in the kitchen
- Continue to declutter the bedroom
- Read up on the jobs I have been interested in and apply
- Limit myself to 1 hour of surfing per day
- Stick to meal plan for the week
- Wedding task
Have a good week everyone.
