If it's the 520 then that's a great price but even still a good price for the 510 as i paid more for it than that on the Tesco's offer.

They only report your position in relation to fixed camera locations from a data base. This is only useful up to a point, they don't warn if the camera is actually switched on (radar detector for that) nor are they of value when it comes to mobile units (again detector for that). I use a Navman iCn 610 and a Beltronics 980, which together hanen't let me down yet.

    Must be the 510 then?

You can upload mobile gatso's to the Navman so it is useful.OK they are only the postions they have been seen to be and more than likely not there when you go past but it's always worth while knowing that they can be placed there:)

It is the 520 - I have just bought one. I rang one branch who said they did not have any and the price was anyway was over £200, but the second branch had them in at the price posted so I got them to save one for me and just picked it up. They had a few left - this was in Nottingham.
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

also got the navman 520 today for £150 at the link (east kilbride) but i am a bit worried because the box says "st smart 2005 software"- does this mean that it will cost a lot to update?
anyone who can't get to the link can try to get halfords to price match.

That software is the latest for the Navman I believe. Could be wrong though...

just phoned my local link and they said it was £250, i said that some of the stores were selling them at £150 so he scanned it and he said it was going through at £150 so may be worth asking stores to scan them if they are at higher price. Have asked him to put it aside for me. Had ordered tomtom one at £240 but shall return it when it comes, thanks to OP.
