Thanks. I made my first attempt, but having keyed the code, what then? If I press to select options I get to the Contacts screen. Is that what should happen? Home screen still shows O2-UK.

Did you enter the code you were given without a sim in and what message that come up on the screen.

SIM was in: I did not realise it had to be out.:o Off out soon , so will try it correctly later.

If there's any more I need to know, may be you would be kind enough to post in the meantime.

I've tried more than three times and not get NOT ALLOWED, is it a trip to the local market stall or can a kind person help?

I'm afraid so, as it's a Dct4+ phone which doesn't have any remote codes

When you press the last +7# it should say phone restriction off on the screen. First of all check to see if it's unlocked already by trying a different network. Can you make & receive calls on 02?
