Put in codes screen, shows digits entered, press enter button, no change to screen should I press a different button? Last time I did this on a sagem the phone switched off as soon as the last # was input. Should this happen with the nokia

Enter one code at a time and then prees enter after the #

Entered first code pressed enter after last # no change on screen/ entered second code pressed enter after last # no change.

Are you sure it's locked to Orange and can you make & receive calls, also have you tried another network in the phone to see if it's unlocked already.

Bought on ebay as new locked to Orange without sim. Tried giffgaff sim didn't work. Put in old Orange sim appears to be working screen looks correct but sim not registered so can't make calls.

If you old Orange sim was working before you put it in your 5140 the phone is barred.

Sorry, no old orange sim hasn't been used for months think network only allows a month without use before disconnects number. So sim would not make calls in any phone.
