cheers baldhead, are you allowed to point me to them sites? also i had it took to one stall today and he says its hard to unlock and could take upto 10days and £35-40 to unlock! sounds abit iffy to me, what do you think?

Hi Guys,

I have an old but seemingly serviceable Nokia 6230i locked to Vodafone that I want to give away to someone on an O2 network.

The IMEI is

358827003091554

Can anyone help with the unlock code or recommend a safe/secure way of obtaining one online? The phone is worth zip so wanted to avoid expense especially since I am not sure how long it will last.

Really appreciate a steer here guys and thanks in advance.

Insert a WRONG sim card, one that doesn’t work in the phone. When it says phone restricted, press
‘undo’. It will ask you for a restriction code and input the code into the box on the screen.

Many thanks BH, worked like a charm. You're a star. Now I have to figure out how to extract the contacts from the old Nokia 6021 which has died (and which this now revived phone replaces).

Hi i wonder if anyone can help,

my son was given a nokia 1800 for christmas which is locked to vodaphone and i want it unlocked,. I took it into one of those mobile repair places and the guy told me that he couldnt do it. Is there a way?

DCT4+ phone I’m afraid, there are no free remote codes, but your network provider/market stall, or a pro unlocker can help here. It can be unlocked, but you will have to try several places.
