  • Hi

I have a Nokia 6100 locked to Virgin.

    IMEI 352943001064240

I only have two attempts left before the phone is hardlocked.

Have tried the following codes off Trycktill.com without a sim in the phone but simply got the message "code error":

    #pw+459557770727362+7#
    #pw+228555346637062+1#

    Questions

    1. Does anyone have a code that will work?
    2. Do I need a sim (different to Virgin) in the phone when I enter the code?
    3. Should I have used T-mobile instead of Virgin to generate a code as I understand Virgin use the T-mobile network?

    Any help gratefully received!

    Thanks

Wondered if Virgin actually use T-mobile and therefore use T-Mobile to generate a code?

Code error means that your phone may be unlocked already, so try other networks to make sure if you can. If it's still locked, make sure it's locked to Virgin, make & receive calls from it and if it is enter this code without a sim in.
    #pw+984682502323427+7# only once.

I am toying with the idea of buying a nokia X2 which is locked to virgin, but I want to use my existing Tmobile sim in it.

I have googled a lot but cannot find out if this is a phone which can be unlocked via a code or not, and if so where I can get one without paying a ridiculous amount for it.

From a few websites it seems that virgin sims can be used in Tmobile phones but not sure if can be done the other way around (as I will need to)

    Any advice would be appreciated.

It needs unlocking if it's on Virgin. There are no free unlocking codes, so you will have to contact Virgin or a pro unlocker. It should cost £10/£20

    Thanks for the info
When you say contact virgin, do you happen to know how much they will charge? Assuming the amount you quoted is for a 'pro unlocker'

BB5 phone I’m afraid, there are no free remote codes, you will have to contact your network provider, or a professional unlocker/market stall. There are remote codes, which you can purchase from the web, on certain networks, but they all cost
