    Afternoon all
The weather is beautiful here I've been out in the garden for hours, cutting down straggly bushes and raking out dead bits and pieces, its amazing how much needs to be done at this time of year, but it looks better now, cant say much for my back though ;)

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sunnyday :bdaycake:

Diva - O thats good, short and sweet but good news anyway :D

WBS - ouch!!! hope it feels a bit better now.

SALOPMAN - enjoy the garden party:beer:

nic - sorry to hear your sad news x

Just got the washing in, swept the paths and patio tied strings up for climbers, and now its time for food so OH tells me

Something quick, tuna baguettes I think, with yoghurt and fruit after.

  • Thanks for all the lovely replies:D

I have had a rough afternoon and I hope I feel better in the morning. Do you think people would understand if I am unable to attend funeral tomorrow? They are good friends and know how ill I am. I have to keep well enough for my treatment this week or they may keep me in. I will see what kind of night I have and see what the nurse says this evening.

Morning at the allotment, got all the jobs bar one done. This afternoon we spent in the garden at the house. We have taken out the leylandii in the front garden, they are now in pots in the courtyard. I intended to start on OH's green house, but changed my mind I was too tired and still had the supper to cook.

Supper eaten, large glass of red wine went down very well, feet up now until bedtime.......

    PEN-PIN,
    Please read my post #13.

Now then, I will get very cross if you insist on going to the 2 funerals and get so worn out that you will unable to go to your hospital appointments. Which I think we all agree is more important
For God's sake Pen, there is nothing you can do for the people that have passed on.
There is something you can do for yourself and your family. That is to first and foremost look after yourself.
Of course they will understand, and if they don't then they are not good friends.
I was going to say sorry for being so abrupt, but I think some-one should put their foot down with a firm hand. :o

    Hello Again

PP if you were my 'real' friend (iykwim lol) I would completely understand if you couldnt make it.

Am sitting in front of the tv and am completely exhausted. Had quite a productive day, washing basket empty and the only ironing is what ive just got off of the line.

OH has done well with the garden today. Have checked the seedlings and can see some shoots coming.:j

Going to have an early night, have to take DD out tomorrow and that is always stressfull so definately need enough sleep.

........ I think that she is limping from the shoulder if that makes sense, it seems to be worse when she's been sleeping.......

Maybe she's been lying funny when she's been asleep?

PP - I am sure your friends will understand if you don't go (and Bethebee, I totally agree with you putting your foot down with a firm hand!)

Have despatched OH off down to South Wales again....he made cassoulet yesterday with some duck confit he'd done just after Christmas with the goose fat, it was scrummy! Then had hot-cross bun & butter pudding - not very low cal but hey, we had done an 11 mile walk with a purpose earlier, and I'd been up at 7.45 to let the gas man in - AGAIN!! - but now we have a fully functioning boiler that has been rebuilt from the inside out, we've got lots of proper hot water again now! :j

Went to see the sea today, picked up a Boots gift card & card for my niece who's 18 this week, and walked from North Pier down to South Pier on the sands, carefully avoiding families with buckets & spades and dead jellyfish. Then had a tidy up of the pots in the back garden and had a late lunch in the sun :) before OH jumped into the car with his left-overs!

Has to be ironing tonight with a few things I've recorded, then wash hair & bed. Most people will be back in work tomorrow after the Easter break, so will be busy

No offense taken and thanks for being so honest! My head is in a spin atm as there is so much going on but my health has to take priority along with my DD and hubby. My nurse has been this evening and she thinks it will be best not to go as she knows I will get upset and make me feel worse.

I have called the partner of the deceased friend and they were fine. There are many going, so I know they will be fine and well supported.

Thanks everyone for being great friends and helping me make better judgement calls.
