And browsing for what to do with a pound of rhubarb that I don't like eating and shouldn't have bought in the first place. :o

Edited to add - Nic - I put down my condolences to you last night - still thinking of you and I hope that all goes well.

Squiggly Diddly, I just use a can of condensed chicken soup as a sauce for my chicken and leek pie, I got the low fat version, figured that it cancels out the lard in the pastry lol!!!

    Happy Birthday Sunny day!!!

Sorry to hear of your loss Nic, sending lots of love your way xxxx

Also PP It must be a difficult time for you just now, please look after yourself.
Sybil, have you been strutting your stuff in those sandalls? Naughty girl. Love to Little Bear.
I'm not very good at the moment, still old but I seem to have lost my style. I've just had a bit of a declutter, love it. May put the washing out if it brightens up a bit.
Hugs to all and have a lovely Sunday.

    Hi all
I bet you were doing the Tango in your sandals WS, hope it's better soon. Rhubarb & ginger jam? Or make up rhubarb fool for LB.

So glad you had a good time Smokey, you & the kidlets deserve it.

The lodger only had a short walk today as she is limping I was told that she often does & not to walk her if she's limping, only problem is, she has so much energy she's bouncing off the walls & round the garden, so in the end I though a sedate walk would be better for her. I think that she is limping from the shoulder if that makes sense, it seems to be worse when she's been sleeping.
Hubby & I have spend a hour in the garden, pottering about, the washing's dry & I have a chicken roasting in the oven, we'll have stuffing, yorkies, roast pots, carrots, broccoli & peas with it.

I shall spend the afternoon making jewelery for the charity stall, thanks to the kindness of a MSEer's in sending me a huge quantity of findings to go with ny beads
    Have a good afternoon.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning everyone,

I'm just about to hit the sack. Been a pretty relaxed day in the Aussie household. Got visitors around lunch time. They rang around 10am to say they were coming over. Made some soup & damper which went down really well. They left just before 5pm and we had leftovers for tea tonight.

Had a lovely day out on Saturday with DD. I can't remember if I posted that or not. :rotfl:Oh well. Plans tomorrow is to catch up with a bit of housework and I better sort out the menu this week. I expect I'll do other things as well but my brain is a bit tired atm. :o

    Sunnyday & Hillstep:bdaycake::bdaycake:

<hugs> to those not well. Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Morning all,its a gorgeous day here but nippy out of the sun,but we managed to read the Sunday paper sat outside.Contemplating what to do for tea,I have a few options as we went to Costco yesterday to stock up on meat, and I kept some out of the freezer to use this week, bulk cooking of mince tomorrow! We avoided any other temptations there and only got what we went for( cant believe it)

Had a really lovely evening last night,as we went to friends for a meal-she'd done Greek and it was fab.Tired today,DH stayed up watching Jools Holland he'd recorded so I kept dozing then waking to hear it,then half an hour after he'd finally gone upstairs some very late night reveller rang the bell, which is on the gate up the drive, not the front door.Thinking it might be DS2 who couldnt get in for some (drunken) reason I went down, let the (v.large )dog out first as a precaution but there was no-one there but I could hear singing in the distance

Happy Birthday Sunnyday-hope you have a good one.
Nic,really sorry to hear of your loss.((HUGS))

Hi, Hugs to all that need them. I've got a beef joint pot roasting in the slow cooker for dinner tonight. Just been to the local NCT nearly new sale and dropped off a car load. I really hope that my stuff sells well, it would be nice to be able to treat myself with the proceeds. DH has taken the boys off for a walk so I've got a little peace and quiet. I've got some accounts stuff for the school PTA to do, which I haven't managed over the holidays as DS2 is very clingy and cuddley at the moment. I think it's because he knows he's going into hospital in 10 days time for an operation. We're going to be in for at least a week, so I'm desperately trying to sort stuff out.

    hi all
Not been on all week as been concentrating on keeping DS occupied.
lovely day here today and just been out watering my veg in various pots:D
Roast chicken and veg for lunch followed by HM ice cream.
Been away overnight on fri back home to Newcastle so we could take DS to see Tiger who came to tea at the theatre.
First time he has ever sat through a show for 50 mins:T.
However the rest of the stay was stressful....he paced around the hotel room till early hours and we could not get him to eat anything for the 2 days as nothing was ever quite right:rolleyes: OH and I fell out due to the stress of everything but then had a big talk and sorted things.
We are going away for a weekend at a lovely hotel in May, just booked it today, not very OS but we need a break to relax...the whole autism and adhd thing very hard to deal with at times and we never even have an evening out so this break will do us both good.
Also went to see my gran and grandads grave while i was back home as have not seen it up to now, never go to Newcastle now as no family there now and parents live in Edinburgh now...put some flowers there and had a cry thinking of old times.
Nic sorry for your loss, prayers and thoughts are with you
D&DD nice to see you back! Can`t believe you got up so late today lazy sod;):D. Sorryto hear about your FIL must be very difficult, hope DH is coping ok too and rest of the family.
Well, off to sort the veg for later.

    love claire
