Has anyone tried the 'badgers creek' white wine before? £2.74 a bottle is niiiiice, but does it taste like vinegar? Is it dry or fruity? etc...
Interested to hear what people think either good or bad.

Badgers creek quite good, saw it @ £7 a bottle a while back,
wife rates the red as well. Not fruity but great value for money!

They're also great for cleaning specs.

I would caution people about using these for cleaning specs that have coatings on them.
Some chemicals can strip the coatings off specs.
I don't know whether these do but best to check with your optician first.

Anyone with a newish Dell would be well advised to check that they do in fact have a spare PCI slot before buying. Latest Dells seem to have only two PCI slots, one or two PCI-express, and no AGP. Just a thought.
  • Hello everyone, new poster to the board - long time bargain hunter :)

Is anyone else going to get the digital tuner card for their pc or was the general opinion that external USB ones are better and cheaper?

If I did buy the card and had problems with it, how easy would it be to get a refund from Aldi? (might well be my first purchase from them thinking about it!)

On a similar theme, do Aldi have any unusual opening hours I need to be aware of before I trudge off into the grim weather?

Sorry for all the questions but I can't resist a good deal!

No trouble getting re-funds but Aldi only do Debit cards or cash no Credit cards. Usual opening hours.Hope this helps.
  • Thanks Covkid, I wouldn't have liked to get to the checkout and then not be able to pay!

    Hi Folks
Just returned from Aldi with the new Specials sheet for next Thursday. In the top left it states "Twice Weekly Specials Coming Soon". Same as Lidl I suspect.

Can anyone tell me how I can get to know of the "Specials" that they do at Somerfields. I managed to get a Micromaxx Satnav/PPC from there, but only because a mate informed me about them.
    Cheers Dave T

the somerfields website has a 'specials' page and you can also register for the specials email
The sat nav and other electricals aren't mentioned though and may be stock left over from Xmas
Learn to laugh at yourself ... everyone else has:rotfl:
    Regards
    S.

    Hi Snax
I've looked on thier specials page, but is just showing groceries etc, I thought they might have something like Aldi/Lidl.
