The 5.0MP camera seems to be the same as the one Tesco's were selling for £39.97 (Model: Premier DS-5080s).0

The photo printer looks like a good buy, forget the Medion badge it is this one

usually around twice the price and the refill paper/dye packs are much cheaper than other dye -sub. ones at 120 sheets for £20ish, so just under 17p a print, instead of the 30 to 40p Sony/Kodak ones.

What are the benefits of paying for the photo printer and then producing a 17p a print snap in comparison to having your selected images emailed or taken to your local supermarket/high street store for a 10pish per image production?
I appreciate the timescale benefits but do the results and the costs involved of home produced prints compare favourably with the commercial option.0 -

I used to keep Tropical Fish, and the tank I had required some type of heater to keep the water at a specific/constant temperature.
It was much larger that the one shown though!
I used to keep Tropical Fish too. Would I be able to get a heater for such a small tank ??. I'm sure I could but its been 15years since I've had tropicals..0 -

There are no benefits as far as I can see, apart from the convenience of having the finished product instantly. In many cases, using a standard printer, even if you print onto expensive photo-quality paper, the colour is likely to fade quite quickly unless you have a relatively recent model with the option of better quality toner cartridges.
If you shop around you can get your prints for less than 10p each - there are a few offers up for grabs at the moment.0 -

I was not saying this was the cheapest WAY to print, only that this printer was comparatively cheap. Plus is not only "instant", but allows editing/ cropping /toning etc, to your liking before the final print. It is more of a convenience method.
Dye sublimation is the same print quality as the commercially produced "instant" prints. AFAIK it is the same process.
Also 10p per print wherever you have it done is not the final cost, as time and effort in getting the stored photo to the "shop", postage and travel costs maybe involved. Do you relate the cost of your car in the budgeting of your visit to the supermarket?, I dont think so.ac's lovechild0 -

I certainly wouldn't go to the supermarket for that purpose. I can edit, crop and process them on my PC in the comfort of my home, then email them. The prints arrive by post in a couple of days.
My comments regarding the quality were really directed towards inkjets which is what most people still have. I hadn't really taken on board the fact that we're talking about dye sublimation technology with the machine in this offer. I apologise for confusing the issue!0 -

Guessing its a KWorld tuner, have an analogue version, audio is a bit hissy but fine for the price. Think its a DVB-T100
