What was going to be an easy day turned out to be a busy one. OH had 8 books in at the library so I collected them. Took him down to the bowls club for the opening of the season. I went and collected the landing curtains from the dry cleaners. Would not hang them until I had cleaned the window....it was disgusting, not black but green with mould, how can people live like that beats me!! I was halfway through doing the window when OH phoned to say he was ready to come home, so nipped to collect him and then finished off cleaning the window, hung the curtains and put the pelmet up, so now we have a clean window and curtains up.

I chicken out and we had fish and chips for supper.......allotment tomorrow.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

Awful, awful day - got a phone call this morning from DMiLs sister to say she had not turned up to meet her this morning to go on their usual sat morning shopping trip and had we heard from her? Rang hubbie who had my car with him and we went racing to her house and found her dead in bed. So unexpected, she was a very fit (for 79) and very active lady, I work for our local doctors so I know she had no health complaints to speak of so just can't believe it!

Called ambulance, police etc and now have to wait for a post morteum to find out reason. I am stunned! Hubbie has not reacted properly yet - he dealt with DFiL death the same, dealt with whatever had to be done, then fell to pieces! Had all (grown-up) kids here this afternoon and we are now going to start going through paperwork etc. Don't know where to start really - I suppose we will find out more monday/tuesday after Coroner contacts us.
