Wow it's looking mighty fine so far. That oven is ready for some serious OS cooking.

I can't wait to see the rest of the transformation.

The oven is very handy I have to admit. Here's some of the rest of the kitchen. The bad news is that the ceiling has to come down and be replaced at some point.

I love my big sink and wooden worktops. My oven though is no where near as good as my cronky old AEG one was - especially for making Yorkshires in!!

Lovely kitchen, how do you get on with your stainless steel splashback?

Here goes... here is mine. I thought our kitchen was tiny but I shall stop complaining now seeing others. I love my little kitchen really, the colours aren't fantastic due to a night photo!

Fairly easy to look after really. I give it a clean with soapy water then buff up with baby oil.

There is one scorch mark I can't seem to get off though where I left a hot pan touching it!

I just leave the pan in front of it to disguise it:rolleyes:

Here's mine. It's 'cosy'. LOL (ie there isn't room for 2 of us to be in there at the same time.) But we make it work just fine. Except when there's a days worth of dishes lying on the worktops...

The fridgefreezer is in the dining room and the tumble dryer is in the cellarhead with the breadmaker ontop of it. The slowcooker has to be put away after use for obvious reasons.

Have you tried 'Barkeepers Friend'? I had yellowish heat discolouration on my brushed steel toaster and was considering getting a new one as it annoyed me so much. Barkeepers Friend took it right off:beer:

This is a great idea for a thread, like you said, this is where it all happens.
Got my soap curing on the top of the wall unit, and my beloved Panny, this truly is the heart of our home.

I ADORE this. Totally LOVE it. The gingham is gorgeous. I'd really like to do that with my dining table. What material is it?

  • Hmmm - it looks like oilcloth to me. I treated myself to some Cath Kidston strawberry blue oilcloth for my kitchen table (oh don't I sound grand :rotfl: it's the only table in the house  ) it cost me £40, but in my defence I did buy too much and have a tablecloth and I made a pegbag - I've still got some left - but no ideas what to make with it - maybe a carrier bag holder
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
