Oh meanmarie, you've brought back happy memories of our holiday to Ireland. I loved Avoca, such a pretty area! I did buy a padded hanger there in one of the gift shops ( was about the only thing I could afford:rotfl: ) and remember that holiday every time I use it.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
  • This is a great idea for a thread, like you said, this is where it all happens.
Got my soap curing on the top of the wall unit, and my beloved Panny, this truly is the heart of our home.

oooh that is gorgeous! that really is heart of the home stuff and still chic, you have some lovely bits and bobs, love the fruit bowl and the pink jug on the window. I am waiting for my new table to arrive and then I will post a pic, we have just built a new kitchen extension which has taken forever but it was worth it - I think.
PS you have the same fridge as me I think, I am still in love with it everything seems to stay fresher for longer in it.

I love my big sink and wooden worktops. My oven though is no where near as good as my cronky old AEG one was - especially for making Yorkshires in!!

I have to say that the thing I love most is that everything is integrated - dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine etc. Oh, and I have one of those "spinny" cupboards in the corner, which I LOVE!!

That would do me - if I bought your house I'd probably only change the colour of the walls around window. :D Would fit in fine with my Simplifying ethic.

Funny isn't it - I look at some of the more "old style" kitchens on here and love them but know that they wouldn't suit me, as I like things clear and everything put away.

  • realised I've moved house since the last pic I posted, so I have a new kitchen now!!

Couldn't get it all in one pic, as it's a bit of a weird shaped kitchen...

No need to post mine....I have the same worktops and units as icecubequeen :rotfl:

This is the "before" of where my cooker stands now. I don't have an after. I'll take one later in the week when you've absorbed the fun atmosphere that comes with living in a building site!
