This is my before picture. Urghh!! This thread inspired me to get rid of the paint which I'd foolishly done a few years ago and get back to what it used to look like...which was this...

And here are the lovely tiles I'd painted over!!

So thank you all for giving me the inspiration to get my finger out. Was hard work and two cans of nitromors to strip off the paint, but worth it.

Hi Shelly. I painted over sections with nitromors, watched it shrivel, then it came away easily with a small paint stripper tool. OH then re-grouted. Took me a week and about 6 hours a day but I'm so glad I did it. The kitchen looks twice the size now.

Sorry for the pics being huge. Did resize them but should have done them smaller.

I would never of believed that tiles would of looked so good after having paint removed. You've done a brilliant job.
I have loved looking at everyone's kitchens,a lot of inspiration.I'd love to post mine but I'm a bit thick when it comes to doing much on the computer,so I'm going to have to wait and ask my grand-daughter to help me post some pics of mine.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Mrs Tittlemouse I would love to see your pics too.:D
I would recommend anyone to have a go at removing tile paint. It did take a long time but I didn't just do the part of the kitchen I posted, I did all the kitchen. Here are the other areas.

This is our recently completely refurbished kitchen

Paint is just about dry. Still have a few pictures etc to put up and a bit of glossing left to do but i'm sooooo pleased with it

When we moved in it was painted orange with grey cupboards worktops and floor tiles.

OH and his friend did all the work between them, new cupboards, ,worktops ,sink, hob and oven and the flooring. I think for 2 amateurs DIYers they've done a really good job

I'm positively purring everytime I go into my kitchen now.
