    Re fridges.... I'm finding that as I get more into planning meals etc, I just don't seem to have as much in the fridge, as I'm desperate to avoid throwing stuff out because it's gone off. I'm shopping much more carefully now and buying much less stuff 'in case'.

    My kitchen isnt posh but I love it :) most of it was here when I got here, including bog standard leccy cooker, but the colour of the walls etc are what I would have chosen, and the tables and chairs are mine anyway :) ( and fridge n freezer, oh and that ancient manky microwave ! )

    Do you mean behind the hob? Nothing at the moment. I was going to have glass but now I've got the new oven which is stainless steel I may go for a sheet of steel.

    Angelina, the hood is stainless and a bind to keep clean. Since the photo was taken we have had glass put on. Stardrops and vinegar cocktail with a microfibre cloth. DH put a stainless steel panel on our bath in former bathroom and it was a pig to keep clean, always marks on it.

    Yeah thats really good advice, I think I'll stick with glass! My fridge and freezer are mirror fronts and always look read for a good clean. Finger marks everywhere.
