Bog-of_Babe - I recently did my kitchen and didnt have granite otherwise it would have doubled the price - also knocked down the wall between the kitchen & utility to make a bigger kitchen.
Do you mind me asking why your telly appears to be in a plastic bag.
I will post pictures this week - hopefully Thursday when I do my ebay pictures.
Recently read that Gordon Ramsay has 2 kitchens in his house & in his kitchen he has a cooker that cost £60k!!0 -
Ah, yes, well, the telly in a plastic bag
. I know it sounds awful, but when our last remaining cat was younger he had a habit of erm, shall we say showing his disapproval of what was on TV
. He ruined two that way, so we weren't taking any chances with the third one.
Sounds awful doesn't it. But if they are worktop jumpers there is not much you can do about it. I felt so much better talking to a couple at the vet's recently who had exactly the same problem.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Bogof-babe.. I used to have that washing machine.. mind died last year and I got the newer 1600 version!! .. I loved mine!! Zanussi are just the best!!
my kitchen went from this.. (note delightful view of the air raid shelter just outside the window!!)
To this.. with NO air raid shelter.. you can see the playhouse!
And this... though the large gap is now filled with a large fridge freezer, and the kick boards are on!
Amused me how many MFI and B&Q kitchen I actually recognised because we spent so long looking at the infernal things!!!
I wish it was that tidy now.. I may have to go fling everything out and do a new pic!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

nice kitchen everyone. love looking.
bogof babe , i don't have a utitlty , built in hob or granite work top's either.
Ok i do have a dishwasher. a gorgeous smeg stainless steel one. cost a fourtune. and guess what i was given it. well not given it. hubby was talking to a chap on site and he said he was fed up with his dishwasher as u had to hold the button in for 20 sec's for it to start up so they were gonna throw it away. hubby said , were have it if your only gonna dump it. i've never had a prob with it. had it nearly a year now i think. Can't believe they were just gonna throw it. it was only when he picked it up they said it under 15 months old and how much it cost.0 -
I don't have a dishwasher
But I like standing at the kitchen sink and doing the washing up while listening to the radio. Scrubbing pots and pans are very therapeutic..
*i'll get my coat*0 -
bogof babe - we don't have granite, don't have a utility room, and don't have a built in hob/oven.
We actually have the same cupboard doors as you but different worktop - and we do have a dishwasherworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
And so do we!
I kept looking at those cupboard doors, thinking how familiar they looked!
Well, we obviously all have good taste........0 -

I had exactly the same units as you in my previous house before I moved here, I wish I had granite worktops too, but I inherited this kitchen, I buy Lakeland worktop wonder to make them shiny and cover up the scratches that the builders left behind when they were trying to fix the leaky sink for the fourth time since moving it, scraping the pliers and screwdrivers over my worktop  //http://www.lakeland.co.uk/product.aspx/!7765, I put a link in for the worktop wonder, its the best thing I have bought in years, most people who come to the house often ask how do you get a matt black worktop shiny, I tell them that I buff it up with polish and a bit of elbow grease, but my secret is Worktop wonder, its fab. As far as the built in cooker/hob you are welcome to it, my oh blows out more gas after his evening meal than the cooker/hob does, its not very powerful even when the flame is on the highest setting. I would have my Belling pull out jobbie back tomorrow I had at the other house, the kitchen looks ok, but there are more faults with it than the Fourth Road Bridge, but thats B*rr*tts house builders for you.
