How about using it as a sticky orange glaze on chicken? Could also mix it with some soy sauce to make a marinade?Enjoying an MSE OS life0

It not only makes a sweet coating for chicken, pork but it's also a wonderful way to glaze carrots! In fact, I never liked carrots and it's how my Mum tricked me into first eating them! LOL! Apricot jam works wells too! Good Luck!0

Sausage and marmalade bake - very nice, only reason I buy marmalade
750g new potatoes
8 sausages
3 tablespoons marmalade
2 tbsp wholegrain mustard
150ml sweet cider
rosemary
Cut the pots into chunks, and put in a large roasting tin. Drizzle with olive oil. Roast for 10 mins at GM6/200. Add sausages - make sure they are touching the bottom of the tin rather than sat on top of the pots. Roast for another 15 mins. Gently heat marmalade, mustard and cider in a pan, stirring till dissolved. Then boil for a few minutes till reduced by half. Pour the sauce on top of the pots/sausages, put a few sprigs of rosemary on top, then roast for a further 10 mins.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Glaze roast parsnips with marmalade, or even use marmalade as a dip for dunking parsnip chips!
Stir chunky marmalade into a rich vanilla ice-cream mixture, re-freeze and serve with chocolate sauce and/or ginger syrup for a super-treaty pudding.0 -
Use it to stick the marzipan on your cakes. Remove the pieces of peel and then spread it on your Christmas cake before you put the marzipan on0

I think you can use it for the glazing on a baked ham (don't like marmalade so haven't tried it myself)0

If you are using it to glaze carrots, parsnips what do you do? Do you parboil the veg first, then roast? How do you get the marmalade to stick to the veg, does it not just slide off hot veg??Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0
