You must make this - Hot marmalade pudding ( it's the famous recipe from the Three Chimneys restaurant in Skye, Nick Nairn made it on one of the BBC Great British Menu cookery programmes ( might have been the one where various chefs competed to make a lunch for the Queen? ) . It is sooooo delish and really easy to make. I had it with ice cream but have to say the Drambuie custard sounds lovely...

Having spent most of the day making several varities of marmalade after DH had told me we were running low, I'm mortfied, on re-arranging a cupboard to make room for it, to find we still have 13 jars still left from last year's batch !
So folks - any ideas for using up marmalade, apart from eating it on toast?

Make up a batch of marmalade bread and butter pudding as soon as you can find some seriously reduced bread. Just any usual bread/butter pudding, but smear a thick layer of marmalade on each slice.

You can then freeze that and nuke it hot on demand.

I would suggest bread and butter pudding too...it's delicious made with marmalade!

There's an earlier thread with lots of ideas that should help you use it up so I'll add your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.

On a related note, when I made marmalade last year, it didn't set properly. I've been using some of it and my mum had a couple of jars, but, as I decided to make a larger batch than I had before, I've still got several jars left and as the sevilles are in season now, I want to make this years batch!

So, I was wondering if anyone has made wine with marmalade. :D

Marmalade roll as made by Mrs Beaver in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

Suet pastry, rolled into a rectangle, spread with marmalade , rolled up and baked. Like jam roly poly.
