    :p:p Stop bragging :p:p:p:p

Congrats :D and don't spend it all at once :p;)

If they uphold to FOS redress then you should get the 8% this is for each monthly PPI amount and decreases the nearer you get to the redress date :D

Don't forget to inform HMRC ;) as you pay tax on the 8% :D
Don't want you locked up for tax evasion :rotfl:

Thank you :A, they wont be locking us up we had to pay up the tax for Firstplus.

Do we deal through the FOS for our refund or do we then deal direct with Central Trust? Sorry i know i am thick but never done it through the FOS before ?

Oh yes, Oh yes, Oh yes

I had an e-mail from the FOS today, Central Trust have agreed to uphold our complaint. The FOS are putting there offer in the post today.

Should I be put back in the position as if we never have had the ppi even if we have been through the FOS. Do we still add the 8% interest on top? If that is the case i think the offer should be around £12,000, fingers crossed xxxxx

Just been looking at your older posts with this mis sell, is this loan still running?, when FP redressed their original loan, did they take the whole PPI off and reset the loan and give you the PPI back that you have paid?, when you get the offer from FOS see what it tells you they are going to do.
  • Been reading through many of the ppi threads and just wondered if there are any successes from claiming from lloyds of London as the underwriters? I had a loan from spml 2003 and following complaints to the broker and spml I was advised by fos to make a claim to the underwriters (lloyds of London).
    Any advice would be welcome..........thanks

This claiming with the insurer is in the early stages at the moment, send your mis sell claim into the insurer and see what they come back with.
  • Thank you. Wasn't sure if it was just pointless. Already been shrugged of by ascenden and citi despite paying over 6000 on ppi which was useless in the situation I was then in (self employed). Awaiting response from lloyds now......

would be very interested in your response as I to have tried claiming from sppl/acenden who told me to claim from central trust, did that, they said go to the fos, they came back saying they were not regulated at the time try the underwriters, have phoned today and was told the underwriters were Butcher robinson staple at Lloyds of London, havent got round to doing a letter yet so please let me know how you get on, good luck
  • Yes I will do and thank you. They have 8 weeks from march 13th so another few weeks at least to go. Not really holding out a lot of hope but will take it back to fos if their response is negative as they suggested.....

    Thank you :A:A

We only had the loan with Central Trust for 12 months, then when we re-financed with F/P they gave us £2,500 back for a ppi refund. No none of the loans are still running we soon got rid of Firstplus :D:D:D. I might need a little advice when I get my letter.

Then you should get the whole PPI amount and the 8% (if they pay this) less any rebate you got when you paid it off :D
    nice amount to come?:D:D
About time though :(:( good for you for keeping up with this
