Evening Di, Emma is much better she has sat one exam yesterday another one tomorrow and has been managing the travelling, the college have been so fantastic and are re scheduling the exams she has missed, thank you for asking about her.

I hope you find a great home for your Dad theres always some area that has to be compromised and nothing will ever be the same to you as being at "home" but the level of care is so important. We used to have a fantastic home here which sadly closed because of funding my friends and I considered putting our names down we liked it so much:cool:

My husband is just a volunteer with the Coastguard, I dont freak out when he goes out, because he doesnt really tell me any details just if it was a good outcome or not. I know I would want him on the shout if i was in peril:A

Great news on Emma.......:T:T and good for her as well bless her. XX

We have a choice of about 10 homes that have been suggested for dad's requirements, it will take some time I expect, but yes your quite right there hun, its the level of care that is most important.

I think this home is when relatives can stay, like mum now and again as well, they have tried to pick out nursing homes where anyone (one at a time of course) can stop the off night with dad, which I think is lovely, they are all private of course, but like us all we just want the best for our parents don't we?;)

I agree , best way not to know the details, I'm a born worrier myself.......:oXXX

Nope, me and dates go about as well together as chalk and cheese! Just a mate of my sister, known her for 24 years now. (I'm 31 before you ask!) :D
