Thanks Marshallka.;)
I am gutted to be honest and even though I said I would not build my hopes up - I did.
What really hurts is the fact that mum is already talking nursing homes, where the hospital did say dad would receive the full package at home which includes 2 carers working together 4 times a day, but mum does not like the fact of them being agency staff, and there is poor dad begging to come home to his family. It really does hurt.
The hospital said while dad still remembers his family, its a good thing, and trying him at home may be worth it, as they will not turn him away under this section act, if it did not work out.
Am trying to take it all in, finding it difficult at the moment. XXXXX

My sis is next though for her other procedure on the 4th. Not heard from her to two days though (TBH it was only when she has been poorly that I have heard for ages - she only lives around the corner:eek:) but will be seeing her within the next couple of days to exchange presents. Its such a shame its all like this
. I do love both my sis and my mum and they both ring when they are ill and I am just glad that my sis came to me when she was ill cause she has loads of friends. I just want to be there when i can.;) I am happy with that. They both know I am quite good with illness. Just wish i could change the past but cannot sadly.
You have lots going on as well don't you?
Busy and non stop.
With a few of you though - I could not cope with that to be honest, so good for you for keeping strong Marshallka, must give you credit for that.:T:T;)
When I was younger, I did not get on with some of the sisters, but as we got older its the matter of being older and wiser sort of thing lol.
I was once living 4 doors away from one of my sisters and we hardly bothered, and since moving here a few years back we bother more now lol, maybe though with dad not being well this have pulled us altogether.
Glad things are working out for your and your sister.;) Hope things are okay with your mum as well. XXXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Cheers Marshallka.
Yeah that's right, it will work out for the best, Dai said to me earlier, although it would have been nice to have him home, we still have to think of it in the long term, so he has a point.;)XXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

They have said that she will have to go back after going over my bloods etc (as I have been under hematology twice) and also they did not have any copies of her bloods at this hospital BUT they did a very thorough report and put my daughters (and mine:o) mind at rest telling her that they may try the infalting a BP cuff and seeing if she bleeds etc and getting her an appointment with hematology to get some different blood tests done but after christmas.
They did however find her cafe au lait spots on her body (she has a large one on her hip!) and got a light on them as she has developed quite a few. Nothing to worry about he said but asked that she removed her clothes so he could look her over completely. We have never mentioned these to the docs. Anyway in the end he said that they may come back with nothing at all as people can have these disorders with normal platelets but something slightly out on the platelets working properly and this can happen. He said he would call us back in a few weeks for some other tests and that is how we are left for now. Certainly was a thorough doctor and much better than our own hospital.
Thanks for asking Di.:A
Sounds like you've had a good positive experience today at the hospital the Doc seems to be v thorough I'm sure this will have helped to alleviate any fears you have had. :T Well done Marshallka you are a great Mum.
Today we have had some snow which has made the countryside look beautiful but not good if you need to get about.I need to take my daughter to hospital tomorrow she has weird joints in her fingers, I did check that they would still want to see her when she has g fever and they have asked that she comes before surgeries start, the only trouble is i need to to get up a steep hill notorious when theres been snow.
Emma is getting better daily get a bit of attitude of her!!!!!!!
We did our food shopping tonight for Chrimbo made more bearable because shops were v quiet and used loyalty vouchers which I save all year makes it much better. The only thing i couldnt get was roasting potatoes........I had to do it tonight I'm off to a concert in Glasgow tomorrow night weather permitting, my friend sings in a choir and very kindly gifts me tickets for Christmas. Its always brilliant and a great way to get Christmas underway.

I am more settled with the bleeding into the skin thing BUT I have now googled these cafe au lait spots (which was not what we went with) cause the doctor was more interested in looking my daughters body over for them
. Apparently if you have 6 or more then its a possibility of certain thing (had to google the significance) and she has 6 TBH cause i have had her stripped myself tonight and checked all the places that the doc did not. They must know what they are doing though so will just have to wait for them to call us back after christmas;). (I knew her largest one was a cafe au lait spot but have googled what they can be if multiple and TBH I did not know she had so many:o so not such a good mother:o) but he was interested in them
. If its not one thing its another...must be nothing though as he never said anything more only that he will have a word with hematology and get back to us.
Thanks for your comments donotpassgo...;)0 -

I suggest you partake in a new hobby for entertainment, rather than have the audacity to use my friends misfortunes to amuse yourself.
What a pity its lung and not a heart transplant I need, I’d be first in the queue for your heart……“BRAND NEW, STILL IN THE WRAPPER & NEVER BEEN USED”

Have some news......
Meeting for dad was today, he will NOT be coming home before xmas.
The care package is still not set up as it can take some time, they are now looking at 6th January, but asked mum to think about it.
Basically the staff involved in the meeting have stated that dad need 2 carers 4 times a day, and night care should be provided as well, so they are a little ify on that as they told mum she would have to fund out for night care, and the day care will be free, personally I do think he is worth a try at home with all this care provided, its worth a go at least.
Mum does not seem happy with the arrangement......., I know its down to her at the end of the day, but my gut feeling is telling me its not going to happen with him coming home, mum mentioned a nursing home for him.
Sorry I am a bit gutted and choked up at the moment folks, catch you later. XXXX
What a shame di,I’m absolutely gutted to hear your sad news, you must be so frustrated.
Can you request a detailed report of the care plan they have designed for your dad (Incl duties, times, costs etc) Also ask them for an information pack for the Direct Payments Scheme for personal care.
They can suggest a night care plan, however they are not entitled to dictate to your mum how she spends the funds allocated for your dad’s care allowance.
