The wards are closing at our hospital cause of the winter vomiting bug. Its in the local paper and hers was closed from today for new admissions and also visitors so very lucky to be out of there really:cool:. Just checked for the incubation period of the norovirus and its 24 to 72 hours.... just hope none of us get struck down with that for Christmas.... I went for my bp check last christmas at our docs and came home and got real proper flu. Never had it before but it took some getting over and my hubby got it too but thank god the kids were spared.
The adjudicator rang this morning to say he had about 190 complaints like mine and it was just that he had not actually closed the file completely but would now do it. I said to him that I thought maybe he was going at them for something else I had complained about  but he said no, he was just running behind. Oh well... :rotfl:
Glad your sister is home Marshallka :T:T
Hope she is okay as well.;)
It seems they do that with most hospitals now, was talking to someone earlier who said the same the local hospital here, bloody horrible damn sickness bugs........
Yeah lets hope no-one comes down with this for xmas........ or at all.

Way to go Paul, congratulations how sweet. How did you feel going to court? I would have been incontinent. Would love to see a barrister throw a hissy fit, did you get it on You Tube?
Stupid question how do you insert smillies when using quick reply to post?0 -
What do you think folks, I don't want to build up my hopes, but mum just rang me and she received a phone call from dad's CPN and his OT, they asked if they could come tomorrow to inspect his room to make sure everything is there that is required.
Do you think this sound like good news?:j
Before he went into the hospital unit his room was already set up, he has a room downstairs, a commode, although there is a downstairs toilet, a oxygen concentrator, smoke alarms, the carbon monoxide box and so on.
There are handrails for the toilet and already have a walk in shower-room.
He has one of those specialised beds, with the remote control.
I think I had better stop, I'm feeling excited, in case they are just inspecting for other reasons.
Yippee, :j :j :j :j
I would say it looks very promising babe, don’t think they’d be coming round for a wee cup of tea and a chinwag. However your right not to build your hopes up. I’m just not as disciplined as you, I’ve got no self control a nearly did a summersault when I read this. :T :T :T _party_ _party_ _party_
Now remember pal, I used to work within pharmaceutical industry so if there is anything at all that you need for dad, just let me know I’d be a pleasure to help you out in any way I can.

P.S. Have you got dads Christmas pressie sorted yet? I got some great ideas from posts on here for ma auld dad.0 -

Yes he is all sorted for xmas, me and some of my sisters had chipped in for a lovely size keyboard for him, he should like it, he used to spend some time over the years with one of these, so fingers crossed this will help stimulate his mind a little.
Also bought him some nic nacs, his fave after eights, some drawing books, playing cards.
Even though he would not actually remember how to play cards like he used to but he tends to put all the queens together, the kings, the jacks and so on.
Keeps him entertained.:T:T:T

oh yes not to forget his slippers lol, every year he has a new pair of these.
He does actually have a thing for slippers at the moment, on one visit, there were stacks of them under his bed, it seems that he went around taking off the slippers off others and tucked them up in a neat row under his bed, even pink fluffy ones lol :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, I know I shouldn't laugh but it tickled me so much, and the other poor lasses and guys lol, bless them.:AThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0
