Just heard from mum now, dad in a little discomfort today with his tummy but they are looking after him, we never get 2 days the same do we?
So I then rang the hospital myself, the one in charge said dad been a little restless, but I suppose with a bad tummy it does not help, as he does also have an anerysim there as well. They are actually having this checked upon tomorrow.
lol, think the FOS have that much to do, there have been a misunderstanding somewhere.
Hope you get through to them tomorrow.;).
You do have to get on at the hospital sometimes yourself.Hope things work out ok. You are going through it like us at the moment. Takes the edge off christmas doesn't it but hopefully we will both have good news for christmas then Di.;)

Second, if you're concerned about why they are doing a colonoscopy then the best thing to do is ask (and keep asking until you get an answer you understand/are happy with)!
Here's hopeing it all resolves itself soon...
I'm doing OK today thanks, it's that time in my 'cycle' when the chemo seems to attack my hair follicles!! Last time round I lost most of the hair on my head, so this time it's gone for "other" areas....... I woke up this morning to find that in the night someone had given me a Brazillian:eek::eek: But at least I'm not feeling poorly (I'm sat here with a cup of tea & a clocolate muffin, singing along to the christmas carols on Songs of Praise!!).
Di - hope your dad feels better soon:o
Yeah thanks for asking paul, we do ask and I asked two nurses last night and they just say "she is fine"?? I just think its precaution cause her scan was clear...
Her mate has just called to fetch some things and says my sis is worried again and they have put the line back in and she is going nil by mouth so maybe they are doing it tomorrow now. We get told nothing cause no-one is around. This doc today said they just want her to have this colonoscopy before leaving but have to wait until tomorrow cause she is ADAMENT that she wants a general. I think by tomorrow night I will be posting with a huge relief. Its been a hell of a worrying time but coming to an end I think.
Thanks to yourself and Di for asking.;)0 -
Hugs and best wishes to Paul, Marshallka and Di, hope this week sees things a bit more settled for you all.xx
Hope everyone else is ok.xxDS1 12/10/04

I have three of the 'poisons' via a canula and one by tablet ... it's a treatment called "CHOP". I also have to have chemo injected into my spine (via lumbar puncture). Actually, one of the LPs went really badly and the doctors gave me a wonderful drug called Midazolam ... its a very effective (but short acting) anesthetic... I literally remember nothing about the procedure!! Perhaps your sisters doctors can give her something like this (rather than having a potentially dangerous general)?:AIgnorance can be cured, but stupid is forever!:A

. I am with my sis in the general for this procedure. I would want a general for a lumbar puncture also I would think:o.
Paul, you have such strength. :cool:0 -
I was only joking you honestly, I do try to be nice my cheekiness tends to slip out a lot though. Sorry I cant help it I’m just full of mischief.
Good on you for being so strong and also getting out and about. :T
Weather’s not so nice here, it was so cold yesterday my oxygen tubes froze up. I thought of using de-icer on them do you think it would have worked?
Take care
