  • Hiya Marshallka - I'm doing Okish thanks... unfortunately I still have a bad headache - but that'll just take time to ease up apparantly.. and as this is the second week after chemo it's when all the drugs are working their best - but this means that they've also destroyed my immune system (so I have to be megga careful about getting infections) - and I feel pretty tired ... oh and the worst is that my sense of taste has ggone up the spout!! I get a really nasty taste in my mouth ... and at the moment I find chocolate makes me feel sick:eek:.... I'll get better next week :-) .....(just in time for the next cycle!)

Oh and you know what? I think that everyone's challenges are relative... I don't think I'd be able to cope with a sick child - or seeing an elderly (and much loved) parent become distressed AND run a household at the same time.... I only have myself to look after/worry about!! .... I think we can inspire each other:T

My ten year old nephiew saw me today and decided I look more like Uncle Fester than Uncle Paul;)
    You take care of yourself.

I will be thinking of you

  • Hi everyone,

Sounds like everyone is doing OK.

Hey Paul sorry that you have lost your sense of taste (that would be a bonus in our household my cooking is not world class renowned .... i use the fire alarm as a timer!!!!!!!!!) Sorry this is not funny for you, I hope it improves how long is your treatment for?

    Hi everyone
    Hope your all okay.

Not posted much up to now, been so busy, and seen dad as well.

He was rather quiet today yet a good colour and a good appetite lol.

I just can't believe how young he is compared to the rest of the other poor folks.
Still I'm sure he is getting better - fingers crossed. XXX

  • Donotpassgo / Pinknico - thanks for your support ... and personally, feel free to keep the humour coming!! It doesn't offend/upset me and as long as it doesn't offend anyone else, long may it continue :-)

Di - fingers crossed for you too
