  • Has anyone heard from Dialysis.

    Hope everything is ok.

That's one thing that bothers me about this site is you make such good friends on here and then they disappear.

Yes, I agree with you Di here.

Showergirl, Get some rest cause your body and mind have been through so much. You will end up with burn out and then be no good to anyone for a while. Take a break, put up your feet, get a nice magazine and something nice to eat and relax. You really do deserve it. You must have been through hell.

Hiya paulinweston. How have you been feeling this week. Hope things are still going well for you. I don't know how you cope. You really are an inspiration to us all.
  • Hiya Marshallka - I'm doing Okish thanks... unfortunately I still have a bad headache - but that'll just take time to ease up apparantly.. and as this is the second week after chemo it's when all the drugs are working their best - but this means that they've also destroyed my immune system (so I have to be megga careful about getting infections) - and I feel pretty tired ... oh and the worst is that my sense of taste has ggone up the spout!! I get a really nasty taste in my mouth ... and at the moment I find chocolate makes me feel sick:eek:.... I'll get better next week :-) .....(just in time for the next cycle!)

Oh and you know what? I think that everyone's challenges are relative... I don't think I'd be able to cope with a sick child - or seeing an elderly (and much loved) parent become distressed AND run a household at the same time.... I only have myself to look after/worry about!! .... I think we can inspire each other:T

My ten year old nephiew saw me today and decided I look more like Uncle Fester than Uncle Paul;)

I am glad you have posted back Paul.;) I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through. I know when my dad had chemo he said he could smell chemicals really bad and we had to buy all the simple products with no smell. He also said he could smell the newspaper when it came through the letterbox:confused: and it made him sick. Its a horrid thing to go through and I wish I could give you a big hug now but cannot so I am sending you a group hug here from us all. :grouphug: (this is not what it looks like either lol.... it says its group hug:o);)
