    Hiya Max.;)
    Glad your okay.

    Not too bad thanks.

Hubby is doing a course at the moment as requested by the adviser at the job cente until the date of when he goes back to work, taking time though.
In fact there is a meeting today at the plant, that also involves the health and safety, this is also in regards of the plant getting the go ahead, we just hope its this side of xmas........fingers crossed.

Dad still in respite care, it was originally just for a fortnight, but they wanted to do further assesements in regards of "depravation of liberties".

lol Daniel is fine thank you, still a non believer of sleep though, but he does eventually get there.....lol :D.

Hope you and your family are well anyway Max.XXXX

Are you allowed to do that Di and still claim unemployment benefit. When my son wanted to do something they told him that he had to be available for any work and whenever the work came about. Are you allowed to say that you maybe have a job some months away and then still claim unemployment.

I know my son has had 3 temp jobs but each time he goes back to sign on they tell him he has to be looking for "any" work which he is.

Hi Marshallka, when I say course its a job seeking course arranged by the benefits office/jobcentre. I just call it a course, but its something like a new deal arrangement, its 5 hrs per week, he can do an hour a day or do the 5 hours in one day, a choice, so he he can still job seek the same time as well.
Its just another way to open the options on the job hunting.;)

If he refuses to take part, he does not get paid the Job seekers money.

The job centre as you know need to know what efforts are being made into finding new employment and ask for updates, with the booklet that my hubby has this has to be signed on every signing.

As there is no definate date, to start, they cannot guarantee he has the job, so far its only said to him verbally, nothing in writing, and we will not even believe it ourselves until he does finally have a definate start date, so he still has to continue to seek employment.

All I know is there are many ex steel workers who may still be unemployed being promised their jobs back, but like anything else you cannot guarantee it.

Oh right, my son did that one and then went on to do full time work for the council for 13 weeks for an extra £15 on top of his dole. He actually really enjoyed it but he had to do this after being unemployed for only 6 months. He has most probably got another temporary data job for the next couple of months. He should hear on monday but just keeps taking whatever is thrown at him which is a good thing. He has got his exams etc but having to do just "anything" at the moment. Like he says, its better than sitting around here.

Glad your hubby will most probably be returning very soon. It seems ages since he had the job offer again and still no closer and not definate but I am sure he will be OK:eek:.
