Investments are up and rising
invest quick
Yes, I have captured all of the recent up moves because I don't try to time markets. All the evidence is that people who try to time markets under perform the indices.
Also, time weighted rather than dollar weighted returns are much higher because people are inclined to buy when markets have risen a lot, but then to sell when they've fallen...

Duck - You say it is time to invest, but actually the market has already risen 25% so unless you invested three/four months ago, you've well and truly missed the boat. The real gains are made if you buy near the bottom (or in a declining market which was around Feb/March), rather than when the markets have risen considerably since their lowest....0

A rise today in the FTSE index I see.
Do we think this so called bear market rally is running out of steam (question for those who have technical insight) ?
Or
Is it a potential pull back a few percentage points then gather strength then go into a bull market rally.
I think the market wil rise a little then pull back to its March lows over the summer.
Any thougts?0 -

Thats what my I.F.A thinks, were starting to take profit from parts of my portfolio in anticipation. But at the end of the day no-one knows, even the world's best investors like Bolton, Buffet etc.Liquidity is when you look at your investment portfolio and **** your pants0 -

29th did see a spike at the end of usa close but nothing amazing, it was from a gm union agreement in the last minutes afaik
gm going broke and government paying out 30bn doesnt sound good but i guess if the governments paying its all good.
My guess is usa open is less cheery then expected but Im hoping no one realises that till its spiked a bit for me
