LOL I guess that's very true, I just thought I would have heard back from them by now. But then again it is Capital One we are talking about.

I will update as soon as possible

Just had a loooong chat with a chap in my local Halifax branch.

He's as baffled as me, "In 7 years i haven't seen a case where someone in such a good position got refused a CC".. He's going to phone a friend higher up to figure out why it happened, but he has a theory that since i applied to cap1 then two applications with halifax - reward current acc and cc the third application was the CC for halifax and i might of been flagged as "credit hungry".

I pointed out my huge......... OD :j. He was shocked! Saying that the reward current account is harder to get than a CC... Gawd im confused.

However he sounded very confident that after the 3 months were up (from last applying) i would be accepted, so a two month wait.

He suggested the usual to look at my report and even get an experian score. <- ???

I said... They're useless! Waste of money.

He said.. It'll give you a good idea of where you are and if theres any problems.

Aaaanyway, going to show him my two page report and see what his friend said, apparently he'll have access to my appeal letter and everything.

So im kind of !!!!ed off and confused now! If i wasnt sold a reward account at the same time as a credit card application (i was told it might help to get accepted...) I probably would of got it, and it turns out i have held a basic account with them since 1998, which is still active (think i lost the card :p, 0.98p richer!!)!

Noxs, what you need to do is to appeal, using a template like this http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1612333, and send it to the main Credit Decisions & Appeals centre - they will either say yes or no.

There is one in Leeds and one in Cardiff. Sure someone on here will have the address.......

But whatever you do, forget asing in branch as they have no idea - you are best to ring card services and speak to them or write in as detailed above. Bottom line is they probs refused you because you don't have much credit and as a customer they can override this - assuming you're handling your accounts ok?

You do not have a 90 day wait as an existing customer. Only if you get declined for a product, you then have to wait 90 days before reapplying for that product. As you're appealing the decline, its not a new application. If, however, they decline the appeal then you'd have to wait 90 days from the date of original application......

Already appealed mate as detailed in previous posts.

Declined so I have to wait.. which is roughly two months now. No problems on my report, accounts handled fine. Just a low credit score.
