    Wordsmith....

Just putting a call out to you as we haven't heard from you for a few days. Have you any news regarding your old cat? Just a word or two to let us know that you are OK would be great.

    Thinking of you

Hello, Startagain. Just happened to be avoiding doing anything else by looking at the site when my diary popped up. Thank you for thinking of me.

At the moment everything is just pants. My boy hasn't come back (notices out, neighbours alerted, been back to last office and last house and house where I got him from, notices on local radio, all rescue places called).

And my dad died yesterday. I am still in Ireland - getting a flight out today. There was no local flight yesterday and there were a few things I had to get sorted before leaving for a week or ten days, however long it takes.

So it is with heavy heart that I am posting. My dad is at peace now and free from the pain he has suffered for many years. I wish I could have been there with him, but the end came rather more suddenly than we expected.
    "Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

    Oh Wordsmith,
I am so very sorry, please accept my condolences. I don't know why but I sat at my computer this morning and was thinking of you and just felt the need to post. You are right, your dad is at peace now. I know that doesn't make the loss any easier. Have a safe journey over and when the time is right let us know how you are faring?
    Hugs

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. What a great shock and sorrow. I hope he died peacefully. We will all be thinking about you. I wish you strength as you deal with all the necessary arrangements.

I am seeing my dear dad today. I value every time I see him as he is so frail and there is no knowing how long he will be with us.

Wordsmith, I don't know what to say. I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of your dad so soon after the pain of losing your mum. I really hope you are ok and please don't hesitate to ask for help if you need anything, such as collection from the airport - anything at all.
Please take care of yourself, our thoughts are with you.

  • Wordsmith - I came across your diary yesterday and couldn't stop reading until I'd read it all. I just wanted to say how sorry I was to read of the loss of your dad - a lot of people's thoughts are with you.
