  • Hi Dalip, sorry to hear you have been going through an emotional time recently, I hope all the messages of support you have recieved on here have done even a little to brighten your mood.

If you would have asked me last August how's life? I would have replied, fantastic, couldn't be better. I worked full time in a well paid job, OH had a good job, life was good, takeaways, weekends away, meals out etc etc
By the end of September, my OH had left me and I lost my job.. Living on IS with 3 children suddenly my whole world came crashing down around me..

By January I realised that BR was my only option, I had no disposable income, my debt wass £27k it was a hopeless situation.

I have been BR since February, nothing much has changed for me, in the sense that I still have no money, no partner, no job, and like you no friends. I too spent my life wrapped up in my OH and kids, no outsiders were needed so to speak..

My house too is a state and badly needing a lick of paint. I was lucky that I redecorated my lounge just before all this, so i at least have one nice room to sit in, but as I walk round the rest of the house, my heart drops.

What keeps me going? The thought that it wont be like this forever, it can't be. My life changed before (from good to bad), it can change again, this time from bad to good. I have to hold on to that hope or it would all become pointless.

I fight new battles everyday with regards to my BR, the newest one is EHTB asking me for half the payments for the joint loan we had! Not a chance in hell! I expect now though that he will stop paying maintenance for his daughter in order to pay "my half" of the loan. Only time will tell on that one.

Anyway, sorry for my ramblings on your thread, just wanted you to know that you are not the only one battling with your emotions. It will get better hun, just hang on in there..

Sorry i made a mistake in what i said, (down to illness, sorry) theres two of us, but we get IB and low rate of DLA, due to that we dont get any CT rebate and get about £5per week towards HB. Were not entitled to anything else!!! I worked it out and if we were claiming JSA we would be approx £10 per week better off before prescriptions/optitians/dentist!!! The system sucks lol. Were actually worst off due to Cost of living rises (which they take of HB, even though the rents gone up!!).

Not that my thread was a whine about my entitlement, just a support for Dalip, that shes not the only one.

Haa well roll on September ive been accepted on a Uni course so hopefully things will look up then :o
yes i know that problem though i did manage to get free prescription form
