Dont foget that the RS Focus has a very low volume production run, with a lot of non-mainstream input into the car. It will have a certain amount of "hand finsihing" compared with a normal production line Focus. This could be good, in that more care is taken in the build, or it could be bad because it may not be subject to Ford's normal production line quality control which is currently one of the best in the industry, far better than "premium brands" such as Mercedes for example.

I have one of the very last RS Escorts, built in the same plant in Germany in 1996, and whilst it hasn't done a great mileage, it has given 13 years of almost perfect service without any hassle.

Dont dismiss the blue oval badge. There's a great deal of predudice and mis-information in the car industry. 20 years ago, who would have considered SKODA would be producing such good cars today?

I'm old enough to say it was fun to drive the original Mexico and the RS Escorts of the 70's - I was a babe in arms, of course...

Is the white the best colour to go for? It doesn't cost extra (:o), but you can have the ST in the white and I've seen a Fiesta in the white too.....

Better to have the green or blue?? Paint costs more tho.... :rolleyes:

But, has anyone seen one on the road yet?? A real privately owned one??

All these so called people that say they have them - photos allegedly taken of them on their 'drive', but who's really seen one?? Truth now, no fibbing...

What colour?? Will drive up there and keep an eye out, but need a clue
