They now say September - but have seen photos of them (at least 5 :o) taken 'allegedly' at secure compound in Dagenham, allegedly...

Allegedly, some who have them on order, allegedly have them up for sale for more than they are paying for them, allegedly............ :D

I would order one if they did a 5 door  ............ so still might get a 5 door ST, but I'm mulling things over - Galaxy or 5 door ST?

As a side question what is it about dealers? When I'm in the showroom they ask me what model I'm after and I tell the the truth: "I might downsize to a Focus TDCi (from a Zafira), I might go for a petrol ST, or a sensible SMAX or Galaxy." Then they look at me all perplexed as though you can't choose more than one model.

    Easy - get the ST!!

S Max when first out was known as the !!!!!! Max and the C Max was known as the Cr8p Max - but the later ones are alright, as so too is the latest Galaxy.

But the ST is more fun ... is it fun that you are after? That is what the salesman should have asked!!

I found that with the Fiesta ST. We took one out for an hour without a salesman and when we got back he expected us to sign for it despite telling him before we drove off that we'd not decided between it and the Clio.

It was as if he'd just caught me sleeping with his sister!

  • Dealers have been taking deposits on the RS for around 10mths (in most cases with no idea when they might get build allocation for the units they needed, so they've had to take a bit of a gamble), official release is this month but there's next-to-no units...no discounts, very few orderable for UK dealers so far...so they will be rare beasts for a while. First should see customer delivery any time now if they were at the front of the build queue.

Everyone wants one, just can't get one!

The dealers have quite a bit of extra cash available on ST's since 2nd April......for ST's registered by 30th June.
