The OH is looking to order one, and will get one eventually. He's been talking to his local Ford garage and they have said October if ordered now, also he mentioned that there are only 2 in existence, both housed at the Henry Ford campus in Loughborough.

These 2 models are the ones that have been seen on all the tests, and once the production run finally starts they will not immediately release cars for sale to ensure that there are no little defects - this is because they consider this their halo product.

As for pricing, there has been a recent increase in the base model price from £24,995 to £25,740 due to the weak pound and the car being produced in Germany. Currently this is not a limited production run like the 2003 Focus RS which was limited to 2,500 UK imports. All accessory packs have remained at their original prices.

Edit: Before the official April press release confirming price, 1,000 UK units had been ordered.

Your garage has told you a load of balls i'm afraid.

You might wanna check this thread (the one that others have mentioned) for starters http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=129&t=643633&mid=0&nmt=Ford%20Focus%20RS%20delayed!!

Also i was having a nosey round a green one last month and i wasn't in Loughborough or looking at a press car ;)

What colour was it? Its not important, just being nosey :D

Allegedly they are only making 8k and about half will come to the UK.

You have to part with 2k before they can process your order.
