    Hi all,
I totally understand where fed up is coming from. Although I have never been a shopping channel watcher my downfall is beauty forums where I see all these things I HAVE to have:rolleyes:. I am currently coveting a skinceuticals serum and one of the websites actually has a GWP (which never happens with this brand in OZ). I sooo want to and have now banned myself from going to this website so i dont sucuumb. I also wanted to replace my 30+moisturiser, but have convinced myself to wear normal sunscreen and just moisturise over it As a mental slap to myself I went and listed all my facial and body products (don't even get me started on hair or makeup- lets just say for someone who barely wears makeup I have a lot of it:o) I even had to laugh with my mum that I had 3 generations of makeup- mine, my aunties and my nan. My aunty was killed in 1980 so I dont know what I am doing hanging onto them- I guess they remind me of her.

    My list:
    Facial cleansers- 8
    Toners-2
    Moisturiser-6
    Tinted moisturiser-2
    Serums-12 (clearly I don't need another:p)
    Eye cream-4
    Exfoliator-1
    Mask-4
    Treatments-3
    Samples-7
    Sunscreen-2
    Lip balm-6
    Eye makeup remover-1
    Facial wipes-3
    Shower gel-2
    Body lotion-4
    Body butter-2
    Body moisturiser-2
    Body balm-2
    Body toner-2
    Body scrub-2
    Body mask-2
    Body spray-1
    Hand cream-4
    Nail cream-4
    Foot spray-1
    Bath crystals-1
    Bath fizzers-2
    Perfume-4
    Deodorant-5
    Essential oil and base oils-30

Yes I think I have enough:o:D Ive convinced myself now and will come back to this post when I need reminding.

    That's some list puss14!

I checked my spreadsheet and I used up/sold/returned 98 items during the last 50 days not including the make up I sold - probably about 120 things in total and another c10 thrown out

This has ranged from sachets and sachets, pots/tubes/bottles with a tiny bit in through to whole big bottles of shampoo.

It won't be as impressive for the next 50 days as all the sachets and almost all the minis are gone - but I am reformed and next time I get a sachet of something I will use it up straight away rather than chucking it in a drawer to fester and take up space!

    Hi All,

My list was too long to post, although I did post it on my diary - think took up a whole page, ha! It's great also knowing what you have, I used to buy something then find 3 or 4 of the same item in the wardrobe - daft!

Anyway I started using a day/night moisturiser that I bought from aither Aldi or Lidl for £1.89 each and it is fab! Think it was on How to look good naked or somewhere like that. That will be my moisturiser of choice now.

Haven't seen your diary before Swinstie but I am intrigued by your whole page list, so I'm gonna go check it out :)
I wish I'd have made a list in the beginning, I may well do a list of what we have now - a long list in itself :o

I've just tracked down your diary and seen your list Swinstie - it's pretty impressive too!

A list is a great way of seeing what you actually have. Crossing things off when used/sold has been a great motivator and at the end I'm going to check and if there are things I haven't used at all I can identify new things to get rid of and streamline what I need/buy even further.

Wow Swinstie, that list is gernormous! You'll do well to get rid of that! You have definately inspired me to make my own list though.... in fact I'm gonna toddle off and do that in a minute. Is there anything on your list that you fancy selling? You could probably get some reasonable money for a lot of it.

    Brilliant Sarahneedle!

Bet you come across more things - it took me over a week to list all mines cos kept finding more stuff! I personally think I can last til the end of the year with only buying stuff I totally run out off!

    More lists please.....

Thought for the day: Do you think this obsession goes back to when things stopped being rationed (I'm not that old, honest) and now we just want to stockpile stuff?!

Ooh just noticed you listed cleaning/washing up stuff - I'm not even going to go there!

My sister is worse than me, she could re-stock the shelves in Boots, Asda, Tesco.......

I'm still going strong but so are my everlasting creams:eek: I have almost finished a sample bottle of toner though so it's not all bad.

Wow to the lists. I'm definitely not brave enough to do a list but well done to those of you who have.

I've had 2 NSDs this week as well:T
